Up for sale, 1992 Volvo 240 Wagon. This could be the nicest 240 wagon on the market right now. The pictures do not do the car justice. There are 3 previous owners with the car offered here. Clean copy of carfax.  Overall the car is in very good condition. The car is very solid and rust free. The undercarriage is clean and and rust free. The original paint job on the car is original and shines nice. There is one photo of the hood where you can see a reflection of a tree, this paint really shines.  The paint has a few small chips. The car has never had an accident or dents. The body side rub strip moulding are slightly weathered. The interior is in very good condition. There is one crease on the drivers seat (see photo). There are two small tears less than 3 mm on the drivers seat bottom and near the top of the head rest on the drivers seat. There is one cracked piece of plastic trim on the right rear pillar (see photo).  The map pockets are not cracked. All head rests in place. Everything works on the car, except the mileage reset button for the trip odometer. The trip odometer works, you just cant reset it. Within the last 10,000 miles, the tires were replaced. The brakes were replaced. The air conditioning compressor was replaced and the alternator was replaced at the same time. The air conditioner was recharged and it blows cold. The windshield has no chips. The engine bay is very clean.  The radio is an aftermarket type that has Ipod hookup, it sounds great. I do not have the original radio.  All lights, side marker lights are working. The turn signals work. The wipers, fan blower and radio all work. The horn and everything else works including the rear window windshield washer. New wiper blades were just installed . The car runs and drives as if it were brand new. The car comes with original tool kit, spare tire and jack.  The car is located in Surburban Detroit. I would welcome you to come and look at the car or do a  pre- purchase inspection. I will not pay for the inspections and I will not drive the car to the inspector. I will not pay for transporting the car but I will assist on this end with the loading and transport. You could fly in and drive it home.  The car is being offered as is. I will not give refunds or price adjustments after the sale. I have a clear title. I will include all the paperwork, owners manuals and original window sticker. Baby Ford Ranger and electrified Dodge Challenger? | Autoblog Podcast #569

Fri, Jan 25 2019

In this week's Autoblog Podcast, Editor-in-Chief Greg Migliore is joined by Green Editor John Beltz Snyder. They address a couple interesting news topics, including an upcoming Ford pickup that's smaller than the Ranger, as well as a future electrified Dodge Challenger. They also opine about the new Honda Urban EV prototype that's scheduled to debut at the Geneva Motor Show. Then they talk about the cars they've been driving, including the new Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid, Volvo V60 and Audi A6. Finally, they take a question from Autoblog's recent Reddit AMA to help spend a Redditor's money. Volvo Concept Estate gets official [w/video]

Thu, 27 Feb 2014

The final chapter of Volvo's concept car trilogy has arrived after a few teasers earlier this week, as well as some recently leaked images, and as we so astutely summarized previously, it's a brown shooting brake. Really, we couldn't think of a better type of vehicle to follow up the Concept Coupe from the Frankfurt Motor Show, the Concept XC Coupe from the Detroit Auto Show and complete the Swedish trinity of concepts.
It's best to think of the Concept Estate as the hipper, classier cousin to the Concept Coupe. The two are virtually identical below the beltline, featuring front fascias that are indistinguishable from each other (except one is, you know, brown). Both cars wear wide, rectangular grilles inspired by classic Volvo models and T-shaped headlights Where the Concept Estate differs, obviously, is with its more functional rear end and longer roof.
That rear is accented by the Estate's wide haunches and slim, angular taillights, which borrow heavily from the units shown on the Concept XC Coupe. These two features work in tandem to present a wide, squat appearance from the rear. The profile, meanwhile, shows off that spacious greenhouse, which is made even airier by a glass roof.

Autoblog's Editors' Picks: Our complete list of the best new vehicles

Mon, May 13 2024

It's not easy to earn an “EditorsÂ’ Picks” at Autoblog as part of the rating and review process that every new vehicle goes through. Our editors have been at it a long time, which means weÂ’ve driven and reviewed virtually every new car you can go buy on the dealer lot. There are disagreements, of course, and all vehicles have their strengths and weaknesses, but this list features what we think are the best new vehicles chosen by Autoblog editors. We started this formal review process back in 2018, so there's quite of few of them now. So what does it mean to be an EditorsÂ’ Pick? In short, it means itÂ’s a car that we can highly recommend purchasing. There may be one, multiple, or even zero vehicles in any given segment that we give the green light to. What really matters is that itÂ’s a vehicle that weÂ’d tell a friend or family member to go buy if theyÂ’re considering it, because itÂ’s a very good car. The best way to use this list is is with the navigation links below. Click on a segment, and you'll quickly arrive at the top rated pickup truck or SUV, for example. Use the back button to return to these links and search in another segment, like sedans. If youÂ’ve been keeping up with our monthly series of the latest vehicles to earn EditorsÂ’ Pick status, youÂ’re likely going to be familiar with this list already. If not, welcome to the complete list that weÂ’ll be keeping updated as vehicles enter (and others perhaps exit) the good graces of our editorial team. We rate a new car — giving it a numerical score out of 10 — every time thereÂ’s a significant refresh or if it happens to be an all-new model. Any given vehicle may be impressive on a first drive, but we wait until itÂ’s in the hands of our editors to put it through the same type of testing as every other vehicle that rolls through our test fleet before giving it the EditorsÂ’ Pick badge. This ensures consistency and allows more voices to be heard on each individual model. And just so you donÂ’t think weÂ’ve skipped trims or variants of a model, we hand out the EditorsÂ’ Pick based on the overarching model to keep things consistent. So, when you read that the 3 Series is an EditorsÂ’ Pick, yes, that includes the 330i to the M3 and all the variants in between. If thereÂ’s a particular version of that car we vehemently disagree with, we make sure to call that out.
