Up for sale is my beloved 240 wagon. It is in very good condition for its age.And in my opinion, the best color combination hands down. I am the 2ND! OWNER and the first owner kept a huge stack of service records dating back to 1990 when they brought it home from the dealer new. I bought this to pick up my kids from daycare and it started everytime and it has been nothing but super dependable for me and my family.I have since gotten another SUV for the room and just don't have the space for this beauty anymore. I have owned others and will probably have to get myself another one in the far off future. This car cruises down the highway great and handles well, very solid car.It was actually used and driven so it may have a few scratches, but I took lots of pictures. Roof was sunbaked and Someone sprayed it a slightly different shade of gray and it shows peeling underneath up close.
I put on new rear shocks, water pump, plugs and valve cover gasket while I have owned it.
Needs: needs struts for rear tailgate door ($40 on ebay),gas guage does not work(needs sending unit $20 to $200 depending what you get)I just fill it up and tank lasts me a month, passenger door pocket cracked and wipers only work on high.Front driver seat bottom has seen alot of miles and needs repaired, restuffed, fixed or drive as is. A/c compressor screeches sometimes on start up but goes awa in a few minutes
Odometer works power windows and locks work, A/C works (needs freon, I will top off If it sells) PA inspected til 1/14
If you have any questions please ask! I can help with shipping on my end but buyer is responsible for payment and arrangements. No warranty
This car has treated my family well and if you are looking at this you know the heritage. Thanks

Volvo will replace C70... eventually
Tue, 05 Nov 2013Volvo has already announced the end of production for its C70 hardtop convertible, a handsome but seriously dated offering that was last refreshed in 2010. Volvo won't be abandoning the two-door coupe-convertible market for long, though, as news out of Australia claims that a replacement, based on the striking Concept Coupe, will join the Chinese-owned, Swedish brand's ranks, although it's unclear precisely when we'll see it on the road.
"Eventually yes... as soon as possible," Hakan Samuelsson, Volvo's CEO, told the Drive, before adding, "when we are ready."
"The Coupe Concept car, we can put that into production and it will have an exposure on the brand. But at the end it's the cream on the cake and at the end you need the cake first before you put the cream on it," said Volvo's Senior Vice President of Product Strategy and Vehicle Line Management, Lex Kerssemakers.
Volvo finds a way to turn body panels into batteries [w/video]
Thu, 17 Oct 2013One of the problems with designing an electric vehicle is figuring out where to fit the battery pack. Volvo - as a part of a European Union research project - is working on a way around this issue by replacing standard parts with lightweight components that double as batteries on both conventional and plug-in vehicles. The image above shows one such piece on a Volvo S80. While looking like nothing more than a carbon fiber plenum cover, the piece is actually a battery pack that can store and supply enough energy for the car's entire 12-volt power system.
The parts are made by sandwiching super capacitors (which can charge faster than standard batteries) in between layers of carbon fiber. They can then be formed to replace numerous body panels such as the decklid, roof or door panels. Volvo says that the replacing the body panels and batteries with these nano batteries can help reduce the vehicle's weight by as much as 15 percent. It has taken more than three years just to design the batteries, so there's no telling when, or if, we'll ever see this technology used on a production vehicle.
