1988 VOLVO 240 GL. I am selling this car for my son. I bought it for him in March of 2012. He was given a new vehicle with less miles by a family member and since he never paid me for the car, I repo'd it (haha). It is in relatively nice condition for it's age. Exterior is near perfect with no body damage. The leather front seats definitely need work. He has driven the car every day and has done work on the car himself. I drove the car last week when he turned it over to me and it seems to drive just fine. This is what I do know. It could use tires. The windshield does leak slightly from time to time in heavy rain and the moon roof has been known to do the same. Transmission shifts well, engine in good shape, all lights work, Sony aftermarket audio & a/c works. To the best of my knowledge, we're the 2nd owner and the AutoCheck shows no accident history. It's perfect for someone to restore or to drive this classic Volvo.

Volvo makes the XC60 disappear into art
Sun, 16 Jun 2013For the last few years, Volvo has set up an art display in the Zurich, Switzerland central train station called the Volvo Art Session, allowing select artists - both established and up-and-coming - to create temporary exhibits with one of Volvo's products acting as the centerpiece. This year, six artists from across Europe converged in Zurich to turn a 2014 Volvo XC60 into a work of art.
Each started with a blank white canvas, creating a massive display in what Volvo says is one of the busiest covered public places in Europe, and after each was done, it was all erased for the next artists to come in and do his or her thing. While some made the XC60 a focal point in the art, others made the crossover seemingly disappear. We have a gallery of all six finished pieces, but if you want to see background of the artists or time-lapse videos of their works, head over to VolvoArtSessions.com. This site also shows the exhibits from the prior two years, and a press release can be found below.

Watch this Volvo truck drive up a quarry road using hamster-powered steering
Fri, 13 Sep 2013Volvo Trucks has been producing some of the most interesting and thrilling commercials around as of late, and this new one involves a live hamster. While you may wonder how could a hamster and a dump truck could be exciting, just know this ain't a Kia Soul commercial: the Swedish truck company enlists the help of a hamster named Charlie to steer an FMX construction truck up a winding road in Ourence, Spain. From the bottom of a quarry. We are not kidding you.
All we ask is that you watch the commercial below to see how it all goes down. If you like what you see, you can then check out a bonus 'behind the scenes' video and press release for details about how Volvo Trucks prepared for the stunt.
