Okay, where do I start? Firstly, I dont need to sell the car, but Ive got my eyes on something else, and I cant go forward with that until I free up some space. Ive been through it all with this car. Blood, sweat, tears, anger, frustration, excitement, and a few bank accounts. Been building the car since I purchased it new, nearly 4 years ago. I can finally say the car is as perfect as it can get, and running stronger than ever. The car has never been in any accidents. The only damage it ever had was a front bumper that got damaged from road debris. I have since purchased a new OEM bumper. The car has now gone through a full metal widebody build with matching front and rear bumpers. Both front and rears have been widened approximately an extra 2.5. All work has been done by Decaudellas in Melbourne, FL. . The body on the car is a 9.5/10.Currently the only cosmetic flaw is a small chip on left side of rear bumper. I can get a picture for those serious. Those that are familiar with Clay and his shop (Decaudellas), know that his work is nothing short of perfect, show quality. Around the same time, I had a custom 4 point roll cage built for the car and powder coated white to match the exterior. It is easily removable if desired. Along with cage, 4 point harnesses also went in. The only people that have ever touched this car are either myself, or almost always USP Motorsports in Coral Springs,FL - not even local VW dealers. Theyve done all of the major work on the car, from custom parts, to suspension, full engine and transmission build, etc, etc, etc. I have receipts and invoices of every single thing thats gone into the car or thats been done to it since the day I purchased it. Over $60k worth of labor and parts (I have ALL receipts). I gladly welcome PPI to those that are serious. For those that know the car, know it. Theres a 100+ page build thread on Vortex about the car, since the day I got it, and everything its been through. From the time it was bagged, to when I decided to go APR stage 3+, to an even bigger turbo upgrade with custom tuning, to the 10 second quarter mile runs, built head, etc etc.. I could go on and on about this car really, theres just way way way too much to list and talk about. If youre serious about the car, feel free to mesage me, and we can further discuss it. Ill also give you my phone number for direct contact if serious. And NO, I will not part out any of the car. On to specs: 2012 GLI6 Speed Manual23,xxx miles (car gets driven about 1-2 times every two or three weeks.)Single Owner car. I bought it new, and have had it ever since. Engine: Its bulletproof. The built head was finally put on and tested at about 18k miles. When the motor was apart at that same time, everything was checked, including pistons, rods, cylinder walls, compression, everything. The motor is perfect, healthy. Not a single hint of any problems, no leaks, nothing. The car currently has two custom APR tunes. One for 93 octane, which makes anywhere from 420-450 ish whp depending on boost settings, and a race gas tune which makes 520-580 whp depending on boost settings. There is a Greddy Profec Spec II boost controller to keep track of all that. Everything of which I will go over with whoever is serious about the car. Also have dyno sheets of everything, videos, etc. There was a new Precision 5858 turbo put in around 16k miles, so everything is like new. -Custom APR tune for 93 and race gas-IE Rods- Calico ceramic coated rod bearings-ARP head studs-balanced internals-Built head with full revised Ferrea TSi valvetrain kit-BSH catch can-BSH motor mounts, transmission mount, dog bone mount-APR intercooler-APR injectors-HEP custom aluminum intake manifold-USP throttle body pipe-APR Carbonio intake-APR stage3+ kit (modified)-USP low pressure fuel system-USP modified HPFP / fuel system-Upgraded coil packs-Modified APR exhaust manifold-Tial 5858 turbo-Forge diverter valve-Custom USP downpipe and full 3 exhaust, catless, muffler only-custom external wastegate dump-2 step/launch control (never used it, but easily adjusted to be used)-Braille lightweight lithium-ion battery with trickle charger (4 pounds) I know there is more to the list, and Im probably forgetting it. VW announces reworked 6.0 W12 TSI engine
Mon, May 11 2015Nobody makes more engines with a dozen cylinders than the Volkswagen Group. They're W12s, of course, owing to the novel shape of their cylinder banks. Now the German industrial giant has announced a comprehensively reworked version of that engine at the same Vienna Motor Symposium where it presented its new 2.0-liter turbo four. The new W12 retains the same arrangement and the same 6.0-liter displacement, but updates it all with the latest powertrain tech. In place of Audi's FSI direct injection and Bentley's TMPI multi-point injection, the engine has adopted a new TSI system. It's also got a pair of new twin-scroll turbochargers, APS-coated cylinders, a new cooling system, active engine mounts, cylinder deactivation, and a stop/start system. And – crucially for application in the upcoming Bentayga – it has an oil circuit designed for off-road use. The revised package now produces 600 horsepower and 664 pound-feet of torque. Considerably more than the 567 hp and 516 lb-ft offered in the Bentley Continental GT W12, but less than the GT Speed, which we suspect will get an even more powerful version of this new engine. It's also more powerful than even the top version of Audi and Bentley's 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8, to make the W12 a more compelling option. Of course that's just as far as the Continental GT is concerned. The W12 has also found use in the Continental GTC and Flying Spur, as well as the Volkswagen Phaeton and Audi A8, and could find further applications under the Flying B emblem and elsewhere in the future. VW says that in the right application (say, in the production version of the Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6 concept, for example), the new twelve-pot could deliver 0-62 times of under four seconds and a top speed in excess of 186 miles per hour. Volkswagen at the 36th International Vienna Motor Symposium Dr. Heinz-Jakob Neusser: "The car of the future will continue to fascinate people" - CO2 reduction, electromobility and digitalisation are the greatest challenges facing the automotive industry - The future of the internal combustion engine will be characterised by high rpm diesel and high-performance three-cylinder TSI engines - Laser roughening – innovative coating process in large-scale production - New 6.0 W12 TSI with 447 kW (608 PS) – performance and refinement - New generation of EU6 TDI engines for light-duty vehicles Dr.
Volkswagen New Midsize Coupe Concept is an aspirational Jetta
Mon, 21 Apr 2014Meet the Volkswagen baby CC. Okay, that's not really it's name (VW calls it the New Midsize Coupe Concept), but this sleek, four-door coupe draws more than a little inspiration from the CC while riding on VW's MQB platform.
It's a looker, we think, and is an eye-pleasing departure from the bland styling of the current Jetta. The sleeker front end is complemented by a wider body overall (it's wider than a Passat), while the more sporting roofline and the sharp rear fascia gives the New Midsize Coupe a decidedly sporting character. LED head- and taillights add a bit more personality to this already stylish design.
Thanks to its 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder, it should get along rather sportingly, as well. The run to 62 miles per hour takes just 6.5 seconds thanks to the 217 horsepower on offer. A seven-speed dual-clutch automatic is also fitted, and contributes to an estimated 37 miles per gallon.
Volkswagen rolls out all-new Polo R WRC
Sat, Jan 17 2015Volkswagen may have ruled out producing a road-going Polo more potent than the new GTI, but on the rally stage, the Polo R WRC has proven absolutely dominant. Introduced to the World Rally Championship in 2013, the Polo R won ten out of the baker's dozen rallies in its debut season, and all but one last year to win both titles two years running. That's quite an act to follow, and the task falls to the machine you see here. The new second-generation Polo R WRC was just revealed at Autostadt in Wolfsburg. The rally machine has been substantially reworked for 2015, with a new livery, new bodywork and new oily bits. In fact, Volkswagen says it has revised three quarters of the components, and while it has not yet detailed the "many new ideas [implemented] under the bonnet," it has identified the hydraulic gearbox as "the biggest innovation." Further details are still to come, but this is our first look at the new machine with which Sebastien Ogier, Jari-Matti Latvala and Andreas Mikkelsen – who finished last year's championship in first, second and third, respectively – will tackle this year's championship, starting with the Rally Monte Carlo on January 22-25. FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) New technology, new design: presenting the second generation Polo R WRC - World premiere of the 318-hp Polo R WRC in Wolfsburg - Member of the Board, Dr. Heinz-Jakob Neusser, launches title defence - WRC kicks off with the iconic Rally Monte Carlo from 22–25 January Wolfsburg (15 January 2015). In top form, both technically and visually: Volkswagen presented the second generation of the Polo R WRC in Autostadt, Wolfsburg. The works team from Wolfsburg has its sights set firmly on another successful defence of its titles in the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) with a new car and a new look. Volkswagen completed a clean sweep of all the World Championship titles when the Polo R WRC made its debut in 2013, before repeating this impressive feat last season. Continuity is the key to the driving line-up for 2015: double world champions Sebastien Ogier/Julien Ingrassia (F/F) and team-mates Jari-Matti Latvala/Miikka Anttila (FIN/FIN) and Andreas Mikkelsen/Ola Floene (N/N) will roll down the starting ramp and head onto the first special stage of the year for Volkswagen at the legendary Rally Monte Carlo on 22 January. "The new Polo R WRC has undergone intense further development, both on the inside and the outside," said Dr.
