If you have any questions or would like to view the car in person please email me at: latanyalhherbel@ukwriters.net .

Okay, where do I start? Firstly, I don't need to sell the car, but I've got my eyes on something else, and I can't
go forward with that until I free up some space. I've been through it all with this car. Blood, sweat, tears,
anger, frustration, excitement, and a few bank accounts. Been building the car since I purchased it new, nearly 4
years ago. I can finally say the car is as perfect as it can get, and running stronger than ever.
The car has never been in any accidents. The only damage it ever had was a front bumper that got damaged from road
debris. I have since purchased a new OEM bumper. The car has now gone through a full metal widebody build with
matching front and rear bumpers. Both front and rears have been widened approximately an extra 2.5". All work has
been done by Decaudellas in Melbourne, FL. . The body on the car is a 9.5/10.Currently the only cosmetic flaw is a
small chip on left side of rear bumper. I can get a picture for those serious. Those that are familiar with Clay
and his shop (Decaudellas), know that his work is nothing short of perfect, show quality. Around the same time, I
had a custom 4 point roll cage built for the car and powder coated white to match the exterior. It is easily
removable if desired. Along with cage, 4 point harnesses also went in.
The only people that have ever touched this car are either myself, or almost always USP Motorsports in Coral
Springs,FL - not even local VW dealers. They've done all of the major work on the car, from custom parts, to
suspension, full engine and transmission build, etc, etc, etc. I have receipts and invoices of every single thing
that's gone into the car or that's been done to it since the day I purchased it. Over $60k worth of labor and parts
(I have ALL receipts). I gladly welcome PPI to those that are serious.
For those that know the car, know it. There's a 100+ page build thread on Vortex about the car, since the day I got
it, and everything it's been through. From the time it was bagged, to when I decided to go APR stage 3+, to an even
bigger turbo upgrade with custom tuning, to the 10 second quarter mile runs, built head, etc etc..
I could go on and on about this car really, there's just way way way too much to list and talk about. If you're
serious about the car, feel free to mesage me, and we can further discuss it. I'll also give you my phone number
for direct contact if serious.
And NO, I will not part out any of the car.
On to specs:
2012 GLI
6 Speed Manual
23,xxx miles (car gets driven about 1-2 times every two or three weeks.)
Single Owner car. I bought it new, and have had it ever since.
Engine: It's bulletproof. The built head was finally put on and tested at about 18k miles. When the motor was apart
at that same time, everything was checked, including pistons, rods, cylinder walls, compression, everything. The
motor is perfect, healthy. Not a single hint of any problems, no leaks, nothing. The car currently has two custom
APR tunes. One for 93 octane, which makes anywhere from 420-450 ish whp depending on boost settings, and a race gas
tune which makes 520-580 whp depending on boost settings. There is a Greddy Profec Spec II boost controller to keep
track of all that. Everything of which I will go over with whoever is serious about the car. Also have dyno sheets
of everything, videos, etc. There was a new Precision 5858 turbo put in around 16k miles, so everything is like
new.

I've tried to list as much as possible as I can remember. I'm sure there's more. If anyone is serious, feel free to
contact me and we can go over everything, including invoices, work done, or whatever questions you have.
Not looking for trades. Can ship the car if needed, but would rather the buyer see it in person beforehand. Buyer
can also keep any stock parts I still have if interested, such as stock seats, intercooler, suspension parts,
engine parts, etc.

Please don't contact me with any offers, and only contact if you are serious. I am flexible, and open to offers,
but serious offers only please. Deposit to confirm/hold the car within 3 days of purchase. Feel free to contact me

Porsche 911 with VW turbodiesel prepares for LeMons assault

Fri, 21 Mar 2014

LeMons racing is a wonderful example that setting limits can actually breed creativity. The series mandates that all entries must cost $500, not counting safety equipment, and that cap forces teams to be ingenious in how they build a racecar. Take for example this diesel-powered Porsche 911, which its creators have dubbed Ferkel the Nein-11, that will be racing in the Sears Pointless race this weekend in Sonoma, California.
This Frankenstein combines a 911 chassis that was originally bought just for its European powertrain and a Volkswagen TDI diesel engine mounted in the rear. After deciding the shell could still be of some use, the team decided to go racing. "We began brainstorming what replacement drivetrain to use for maximum offense and there was really only one answer: a diesel," said Philipp von Weitershausen, one of the team captains, to Jalopnik. They bought a 1998 Jetta TDI on the cheap and started figuring out a way to hack the engine into the bay. To pay respect to the donor, the VW's trunk was highly modified (and drilled) and grafted onto the back of Ferkel.
This team isn't a newcomer to LeMons. Its last car was a classic VW Beetle with a Subaru engine and dual controls, named Ferdinand the Bug, which could be driven from the left or right side. It's quite a sight.

VW pulls Lamborghini and Bentley from the Paris Motor Show

Tue, Sep 20 2016

It's been slightly more than a year since the news that Volkswagen had intentionally cheated on diesel emissions testing broke. Since then, the company's reputation and image have suffered and it has struggled to regain its footing and composure. The automaker is shelling out billions in fines, so cost cutting is inevitable. Today, Reuters reports that Volkswagen subsidiaries Lamborghini and Bentley won't bring their elaborate displays to the Paris Motor Show next week. Auto shows can cost automakers millions of dollars, especially for supercar and luxury car brands that constantly try to compete and one-up with each other. Much of the money and fanfare goes to catering the media, and if an automaker has nothing new to reveal it can be difficult to justify the expense. The company told Reuters that it plans to attend smaller events that focus more on potential buyers. The Volkswagen group as a whole has shifted it's focus, both when it comes to products and auto shows like Paris. Next week, the automaker will be focusing on electric vehicles and electromobility. The company plans to reveal a new EV with 373 miles of range, eclipsing both the Tesla Model 3 and Chevy Bolt. Volkswagen has plans for 30 new electric vehicles by 2025. Lamborghini and Bentley aren't the only major automakers skipping Paris. Ford, Volvo, and Aston Martin have all decided to save money and focus their efforts elsewhere. Related Video:

2023 CES Editors' Picks

Mon, Jan 9 2023

Over the past few years, it has become more and more clear that the Consumer Electronics Show is a car show. And this year that reality is more clear than ever. Not only did established automakers show off seriously important vehicles, but a traditional electronics company brought a car that gives an idea of its intents (with the help of establishment car company). With so many car reveals, we had to rank our favorites. Our picks for this show are entirely electric. Or at least, they are on paper, since many are concepts. Considering the name of the show, it would be a little strange if they weren't. In fact, not only are many of our favorites concepts, they all are save for one. See how they shook out below. VW ID7 camo View 28 Photos 5. Volkswagen ID.7 "The ID.7 definitely got lost in the crowd at CES. That it was camouflaged definitely didn't help, even if that camo was electroluminescent (BMW trumped it big time with its color-changing Dee). Nevertheless, this is a close-to-production hatchback-ed sedan, not unlike today's Arteon, with an extra-long wheelbase courtesy its EV architecture. It should be a solid answer to the Tesla Model 3 and Hyundai Ioniq 6, and even if people obviously prefer SUVs now, VW says there is still a market for sedans. I know I'd probably prefer one." –Senior Editor, West Coast and Reviews, James Riswick Peugeot Inception concept View 12 Photos 4. Peugeot Inception "It's not often that show debuts surprise us. While Peugeot teased the Inception ahead of CES, its unveiling seemed almost incidental. But just look at this thing; it's like an electric French Mustang with someplace important to be. I don't buy into the stupid 'It's not a wheel!' thing that Peugeot CEO Linda Jackson described as providing a video-game-like drive experience, but that bit of silliness aside, this is a really promising design study. Give us more of these and fewer tall boxes, please." –Associate Editor Byron Hurd Afeela prototype from Sony Honda Mobility View 11 Photos 3. Afeela by Sony Honda “Ever since Sony showed off an impressively put-together concept car at CES a few years ago, IÂ’ve been anticipating the companyÂ’s next move. Apparently, that next move is “Afeela.” No, I donÂ’t love the name. The specs from SonyÂ’s original concept car give me hope that this prototype sportback (itÂ’s a hatchback!) will be fun to drive, though.
