2011 Volkswagen Jetta Sportwagen Tdi Automatic One Owner, Heated Seats on 2040-cars

Year:2011 Mileage:28000
Location:

Currently putting my beloved car up for sale. My wife and I purchased it brand in in 2011 when we moved to Boston from New York. We will be moving back to New York City for a job opportunity, so sadly, the car needs to be sold.

The car has lived an easy life so far, we walk to work, so the car has never seen a rush hour. About 95% of the mileage is from long distance highway trip to visit family in New York and Ohio. It's a non smoker car as well. We are the original owners, and has been very well cared for (I'm an ex auto technician) and have all service documented. She drives extremely well and is the best car I've eve owned.

You can look up the specs and reviews of this car through Google, very impressive.

It comes with the original carpeted floor mats and the rubber plastic ones as well.

Comes with 2 keys fobs. The 30,000 mile service was just done, and a check over was done by Volkswagen.

The photos were taken right after I cleaned the car myself. Please know, while the car is still for sale, I may use it for chores around town. Also, the car is parked on city streets, so it's likely it won't be spotless if you want to come look at it. I can wash before you pick up.

The car has minor dings, scratches or maybe a minor minor dent on it. Mostly from small bumps from shopping carts in parking lots. Also, there's an army of homeless people that search my neighborhood in search of bottles and cans. They often bump their cars into the back of cars, please see picture of back bumper. Most of which can certainly be buffed out with ease. overall, she's a beautiful car. Please see pictures, they show the worst of the minor imperfections.

Also, please see picture that shows between front and back passenger side doors. There is some kind of rub mark on the trim. I had the car parked for most of the summer and a branch from a tree was rubbing on it and you can see minor marks from this. I don't know what process it takes to get this out. Also look at passenger side mirror picture, the same happened here.

Also, see picture of one of the tires have a small piece missing from side wall. Likely from hitting curb. I had checked out at goodyear, and they said it's just cosmetic. But please understand I cannot guarantee this. Please check out for yourself.

The only reason I'm selling is because having a car in New York City is impracticable. I originally planned on owning her forever.

Heated seats keep your bottom nice and warm as well.

I have all service records including the 10k, 20k, and 30k services (30K was just done). Alone with everything that car has been done.

Vehicle carries the factory 36,000 mile warranty and 50,000 powertrain warranty, please see VW for details. This warranty is through Volkswagen, not me.

This car was purchased in Ohio and is in my wife's name. It is currently registered in Massachusetts and please understand Mass. DMV laws before buying. The vehicle does not come with plates, I will need to personally surrender them to the DMV after the sale.

I have all title in hand and they is clean and free of any previous liens as pointed out on those lame car reports.

When you look at any vehicle, please use some basic common sense and think it over.. Do you really want the car ? Is it only about the cheapest one you can find ? Ebay bottom feeders are all over the place.. Do you really want a good car well represented or are you just trolling the bottom interested in price only ?? Or do you want a good car for a good deal that is fair to both parties. If you want a great car from a great owner at a fair price, let's talk. If you're expecting on buying then trying to haggle over petty things, please don't bother.

As someone who used to be an auto tech at a car dealership, I recommend you buy from private sellers. Carfax reports are a joke and so many cars at dealerships were damaged and they never tell you. I'm not hiding any imperfections and I'm being 100% clear about the car.

I am a private seller, but I am willing to work with your schedule and with the trucking company you desire. But keep in mind, I do have a day job, I am not a full time auto seller.

Also I am sorry to report that we do not have temp tags in this Massachusetts. I don't know why.

Buy is now price is below Blue Book Value. I'm doing this for quick and smooth transaction for both of us.

It also has bluetooth and xm radio.

The following pictures show the imperfections as mentioned in description:

On the following picture, the purple spot on the bumper is just a reflection from the camera and is not damage on the bumper:

Recharge Wrap-up: Smart Ready for Rent, MOIA comes to US in 2018

Mon, Dec 12 2016

Daimler is launching its "Smart Ready to Rent" service in Europe. Beginning this month in German and French cities, the rental scheme bridges the gap between short-term Car2go rentals and longer leases. Customers book the Smart model of their choice – including the emissions-free Electric Drive and the hotter Brabus versions – for a period of one day up to three months. As such, Smart Ready to Rent is useful to those who live outside of an urban center. Users can book a car online or through a dealer, and vehicles are collected and returned at the dealership. Read more at Green Car Congress. Volkswagen will launch its MOIA mobility arm in the US in 2018. The recently announced brand will take on public transportation as a competitor with services such as ride hailing and car sharing. VW is looking into forging partnerships with the likes of technology and ride sharing companies. The automaker also expects to show an electric shuttle-type concept in 2017 for pooling services, but will use the three-row VW Atlas crossover in the meantime until that concept reaches production. Look to see MOIA emerging in major cities along the US coasts. Read more at Automotive News. A new report from Lux Research suggests that most EV batteries are better off being recycled than reused. Once lithium-ion batteries have outlived their usefulness for automotive duty, some automakers (BMW, Nissan, and Toyota included) are looking at ways to use their remaining capacity, such as for stationary energy storage. The new report, though, says that reusing batteries offers "questionable returns on account of reduced performance." Better to be like Tesla, and just recycle them. Read more at Hybrid Cars. Autoweek dubs GMC Canyon, VW GTI its 2015 'Best of the Best'

Wed, Dec 17 2014

For kids around the globe, tis the season for Santa, reindeer and presents. For the automotive industry, the last quarter of each year is reserved for awards, whether they come from Motor Trend, Car and Driver, Automobile, or yes, Autoblog. The latest to get released comes from our friends at Autoweek. The magazine has echoed other outlets, naming a Volkswagen hatchback and a small pickup from General Motors as its Best of the Best. Unlike Motor Trend, which handed out its golden calipers to the Chevrolet Colorado and Volkswagen Golf range, Autoweek doled out its awards to the Colorado's twin, the GMC Canyon, while singling out the hottest version of the Golf, the GTI. "This is the best hot-hatch on the American market – and it may be the best car you can buy for less than $30K," one AW staffer said in the publication's article on the feature. Other staffers praised the absolute value provided by the GTI and the overall fun factor. The Canyon, meanwhile, was saluted for being "the perfect size," not to mention its excellent build quality, feature-rich cabin and overall practicality. "It's truly a truck in the most honest sense of the word," Autoweek wrote of the Canyon. Scroll down for the full press release on the announcement from Autoweek, which includes comments from both Volkswagen and GMC. And then head over and read AW's full feature on the awards. Autoweek names Best of the Best/Car and Truck for 2015 Volkswagen Golf GTI and GMC Canyon signal a strong year for design, performance and value DETROIT, Dec. 16, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, Autoweek named the Volkswagen Golf GTI as its Best of the Best/Car for 2015, beating a group of finalists that includes the Alfa Romeo 4C, Ford Mustang and Mercedes-Benz C-class; and the GMC Canyon as its Best of the Best/Truck for 2015, besting the likes of the Chevrolet Colorado, Lincoln MKC and Porsche Macan. Autoweek evaluates every new or significantly updated model throughout the year and begins to identify the standouts. Performance, economy, fit and finish, design, value, significance to the auto industry and personal taste all combine to define the Best of the Best. Four cars and four trucks make the grade, and Autoweek editors put them through rigorous road-handling tests at Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Mich. This is where a vehicle transcends the numbers and shows if design, performance and pure driving passion meld into an Autoweek Best of the Best pick.

VW pondering low-cost sub-brand for China?

Wed, 30 Jan 2013

More detail is being sketched into the Volkswagen Group's plan to launch a low-cost brand for emerging markets. Late last year a German report quoted a VW rep saying that the brand has been interested in building a no-frills car, the kind that would challenge Dacia and Datsun, for a while. With both Proton and Suzuki effectively out of the partnership picture, a report in Reuters suggests VW could go straight to China, developing a car with its joint venture partners and building and selling it there.
Officially, company CEO Martin Winterkorn said the issue of a model for emerging markets would be decided this year but VW isn't any closer to confirming any kind of plan for a car in its portfolio underneath the Up!, remarking to Reuters about the China possibility, "That's an issue we're currently looking at."
