2006 Vw Jetta Tdi Low Miles on 2040-cars
Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States
For sale is my 2006 Jetta TDI. The car has currently 139706 miles on it but i will be driving the car during the auction so the mileage will vary a little bit. It drives and run perfectly with no hesitation and no smoke and i usually get around 45 MPG combined. It is in very good condition with no dents or scratches other than one little scratch on the rear bumper almost invisible due to a parking in the city. The only other defect in the driver seat that has the normal wear of a 8 years old car with a little spot where the leather cracked but other than this 2 minor things the car is nearly perfect condition.
Here is a list of job done to the car: timing belt, water pump and bearing ($450) 4 new tires ($400) brand new roof liner installed ($500) front brake pads ($80) Bluetooth System with Phone and music Connection ($250) all this jobs where done around 8 months ago at 125,000 miles so the car is ready to go for another 100,000 miles without problem as you know this engine they last forever. Also i only used always synthetic oil (Castrol Edge VW 505 spec) every 3000 miles and it's also just been replaced. The car has the comfort package with steering wheel control and automatic (climatronic) control. As mentioned in the list i had install a Bluetooth System which works really well to make phone calls and steam music with your phone. I will leave this included with the car. Just for your information i don't have any receipt for the work done and the only reason is because i don't take the car to the dealer since i had bad experience but i like to take care by my self in the garage with help from a friend when need it so i get sure that everything gets done right with brand new parts. any question feel free to contact me. Thanks |

NA auto output to reach 11-year peak
Thu, 13 Jun 2013According to Automotive News, automakers are expected to manufacture 16 million light vehicles in North America in 2013. That's up 500,000 units from last year and marks the largest number since 2002. The prediction comes courtesy of LMC Automotive and IHS Automotive, which point to the improving US economy as a bellwether for total production. LMC Automotive says North America will produce 16 million vehicles while IHS has a slightly more optimistic forecast of 16.1 million units. A total of seven automakers are slated to increase production on the continent this year. Nissan is set to see the largest jump at 20 percent over last year.
Volkswagen, meanwhile, is one of the only manufacturers predicted to scale back production. Analysts expect the German company's output to fall by 23 percent to 170,000 units, thanks in part to slow demand for the Volkswagen Passat and Jetta.
Last VW bus ever made arrives at final destination
Fri, 31 Jan 2014A Brazilian politician tried to save it, unsuccessfully, so the final Last Edition Volkswagen Type 2 Kombi was produced on December 20, 2013 and now resides in a vintage museum at Volkswagen's Commercial Vehicles HQ in Hanover, Germany.
The Volkswagen Microbus was built for 56 years, starting in September 1957. Brazil was the last country still assembling it, but new safety regulations in the country requiring airbags and ABS on all cars spelled the end. When that politician introduced a bill that would pardon only the 'Bus from a death sentence, it couldn't garner the required number of votes for passage. The South American country takes the Kombi production title, though, with 1.5 million of the 3.5 million total made in the home of Copacabana beach and the girl from Ipanema.
The VW Bus is dead. Now perhaps we can turn our attentions to the still-not-totally-settled matter of the Bulli...
2015 VW e-Golf coming to ZEV states for $35,445* this November
Mon, Aug 25 2014Is $6,465 too much to get someone thinking about buying a Nissan Leaf to opt for the Volkswagen e-Golf instead? That's the price difference between the current EV sales champion, which now starts at $28,980, and the just-announced price for the e-Golf, which will sell for $35,445 in the US when it arrives in about ten states (basically, the ZEV states that follow California's lead in zero-emission vehicle rules) this November and will qualify for the federal tax credit of up to $7,500. VW says that the extra money will get you "the most versatile electric vehicle in its class." There is only one trim line, the SEL Premium, which will be the first VW in the US with all-LED headlights. The car's powertrain numbers pretty much match the Nissan Leaf, though. The e-Golf has a 24.2-kWh lithium-ion battery (the Leaf has a 24-kWh pack) and a 115-hp, 199-pound foot electric motor (107 hp,187 lb-ft in the Leaf). The e-Golf's official EPA numbers are not yet available, but VW says it will have an "average range between 70 and 90 miles." The Leaf has an official EPA range of 84 miles. The e-Golf has a better onboard charger – 7.2 kW vs. 3.6 or 6.6, depending on your Leaf's options – and has SAE Combo fast charging capability as standard. VW is also working with 3Degrees to offset all of the emissions "created from production, distribution and charging of the e-Golf for up to approximately 36,000 miles of driving." VW also announced prices for its lightly facelifted 2015 Jetta today. The base model, the 2.0-liter S with a manual transmission, starts at $17,325 while the top-of-the-line model, the Hybrid SEL Premium, will set you back at least $31,670. The lowest-cost TDI is the S manual, which starts at $21,640 and features VW's new 2.0-liter diesel four. A new limited-edition 1.8 Sport model with a firmer suspension, tinted taillamps and rear spoiler starts at $20,895. All VW prices listed exclude VW's *$820 destination charge and you can find all the details on trim lines in the press releases below.
