For sale is a 2001 Volkswagen Jetta in fair condition. Needs a new transmission gasket and some other minor work to repair some paint scratches, a couple dents and small (2"x3" roughly) rust spots behind each wheel and some upholstry stains. Has scrapes and dent above left rear tire from getting backed into in the parking lot. I am the second owner, and it's been a reliable car for the five years I've owned it.
Pickup only and payment via PayPal unless other arrangements are made. If you want to drive it away, it can be left where it is for 24hrs after payment and title transfer. Sale is final, I am not an auto dealer and make no warranty on the vehicle.

VW clubs pay it forward to fix elderly woman's vandalized '69 Bus
Sun, Jan 11 2015Not long after Thanksgiving, surveillance cameras caught four boys in Arizona throwing rocks through the windows of a 1969 Volkswagen bus belonging to an elderly woman called Ann. A few nights later they returned to the scene of the first crime and repeated it, smashing windows they missed before. Ann had no other car and no way to make a living, but when Jesus Aguilera – a member of the Arizona Bus Club – came across the incident on a Facebook page, he got to work. When he was finished, the AZ Bus Club and the Tucson Mob Squad had donated thousands of dollars to pay for new glass and get it installed, and now Ann has a magic bus she can drive again. Hyundai tops VW and Buick in China, survey says
Wed, Apr 15 2015You may be aware of the long-time competition in China between Volkswagen and Buick, but another brand apparently should be in that conversation too: Hyundai. In a recently published annual consumer survey, the Korean company actually took the top spot to beat out its German and American rivals in second and third, respectively. The results were part of the China Brand Power Index that interviewed 11,500 people around the nation and was paid for by the country's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. While Hyundai proved popular with voters, its sales haven't necessarily shown that yet. According to Bloomberg, the brand had falling numbers in China for the first quarter of the year. Even Ford outsold the South Korean automaker in the same period, despite scoring lower on the survey. Meanwhile, Audi ranked as the populace's favorite luxury brand, which is hardly a surprise given the Four Rings' strong sales in China. In January alone the automaker saw a 15-percent boost in volume there. Parent company VW's strong performance was somewhat more surprising, though. State media severely criticized the German automaker in March, and customers protested last year for the allegedly poor handling of a recall.
