For Sale: 2001 Jetta 1.8T Wolfsburg Edition, 125,800 miles. White with black interior. 4cyl, 5 speed manual transmission with a KO4 Turbo. It has a Eurojet front mount inner cooler, Forged diverter valve, TB hose, Unitronic chip - Stage 2, Custom built catch can, Evap/SAI delete, valve cover painted (purple), Turbo inlet pipe and turbo back exhaust. Stage 1 clutch, HID light kit, GLI front lip, Lowering springs, Boser hood, Badgeless grill, Hella smoked tail lights, Tinted windows, Monte Carlo rims with like new tires, Rear sway bar, Dual gauge stearing wheel pod with boost gauge and air/fuel (wideband) gauge, Compustar remote and keyless entry (not hooked up right now), Infinity speakers kappa series with crossover. ROOF RACKS NOT INCLUDED. Inspected till October 2013. I am pretty sure the seals are bad in the turbo, causing it to smoke. It runs good but has an oil pressure problem. Brad and Sheena Van Orden are in the midst of a life-defining campaign to travel around the world, and they're doing it in a 1984 Volkswagen Vanagon custom built for the occasion. The past 15 months have seen the couple quit their jobs with Gore-Tex and drive from Arizona to the very southern tip of Argentina after spending a full two years saving and preparing for the trek. Now they're in southern Asia gearing up for the next leg of their journey.

VW debuts Get Happy Super Bowl ad

Brace yourself for another tidal wave of Super Bowl commercials. Volkswagen has released its spot for this year's big game. Set to air during the second quarter, the Get Happy spot follows one jubilant office worker as he makes his way through the day, spreading joy wherever he goes. The source of his happiness? A Volkswagen Beetle, of course. Now, if you're wondering why a gaggle of white guys are running around on your screen with Jamaican accents, it will help to know the spot is part of a larger Get Happy campaign featuring Jimmy Cliff.
The first ad in the series featured the artist singing his rendition of "C'Mon, Get Happy," complete with a little help from some notorious unhappy YouTube stars. You can take a look at the new ad before it airs below, along with the complete press release for a little more background.

Volkswagen is not messing around when it characterizes its new MQB architecture as modular. It's already underpinning the VW Golf, Audi A3, Seat Leon and Skoda Octavia, and will soon form the basis for many more. And here is the latest.
Unveiled at the Chengdu Motor Show in China this weekend is the new Volkswagen Lamando, a four-door coupe similar in size to a Jetta but with the svelter roofline of the larger Passat-based CC to go after the Mercedes-Benz CLA. It's essentially the production version of the New Midsize Coupe concept that previewed its arrival at the Beijing Motor Show this past April, and will be built locally for local consumption by VW's joint venture with SAIC.
Power comes from either a 1.4- or 2.0-liter turbo four mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, with an equivalent price tag below $30,000. Whether this or any similar vehicle ever arrives in North American showrooms remains to be seen, but we'll be watching to find out.
