You will find a complete and detailed description of this Golf TDI in the following blocks. I will do my best to describe everything in detail, but if there is ANYTHING that you would like a deeper description of…please call prior to bidding.
Engine:
The engine starts and runs well. No smoke at startup, or any hesitation throughout acceleration. It does not burn oil or leak any fluids
Transmission:
The 5-Speed Manual Transmission allows for movement through each gear. My mechanic is confident that the clutch is soft and will need to be replaced soon. For now it does engage properly and can be driven as normal, but please assume the clutch will need to be replaced soon.
Power Options and Accessories:
-Equipped with Power Locks. A/C works and blows Cold.
-The CD Player works and allows for loading and ejecting as new.
Tires:
The Front and Rear tires match and are Yokohama AVID touring P195-65-r15. The tires, in my estimation, have 95% tread remaining.
Exterior:
The paint on the exterior is overall in good condition for it’s age. The top on the rear hatch does show the starting signs of fade. There has been some body repair in the past on the lower portion of the left rear quarter panel. It has been repaired but can be noticed if it is pointed out. – refer to photos. Overall the Golf is in really nice shape, the photos show a very realistic vision of the car.
Interior:
The interior is good condition. Please note the rip on the driver’s seat – refer to photo. Please expect some minor stains due to age. The door panels and headliner material have been replaced with black material.
History Report:
Please send an eBay message to request a full Autocheck report. I will need your email address to respond with the full history report as an email attachement.
Shipping:
Yes, I would be happy to offer shipping quotes to your specific zip code. Please send your zip code to me via eBay message, and I can respond with a shipping quote prior to your bid.
Refunds/Partial or Full:
If you are the high bidder and pick up the car in person and feel I misled you in ANY way I will simply cancel the sale. I want to conduct the sale as honestly as possible and want the purchaser to feel confident when bidding. If you decide to have the car shipped, I request that you have the Golf independently inspected prior to the pick-up date. Once the Golf leaves via truck the sale is final and no refunds will be issued. It will become an AS-IS sale and no refunds or adjustments will be allowed once it leaves the lot, no exceptions.
Florida Buyers Only:
As a licensed car dealer in the state of Florida I am required to collect sales tax on your purchase. If you are not sure of your county’s rate, please call and I will discuss the sales tax rates with you. The sales tax will be in addition to your bid amount.
Dealer Fee:
Yes, I do have a dealer fee of $149. This fee is in addition to your high bid. It helps to cover the cost of airport pick-up, document preparation, overnight paperwork fees, temporary tags, etc.
Contact Info:
My cell phone number is 904-738-0195 – Please refrain from calling after 8:30 EST as this is the time I spend with my family and ask that any inquiries be handled via eBay or email after 8:30pm. I respond to any late inquires the following morning (typically by 9:30a.m. EST)
If you have ANY questions….call prior to bidding. Once you bid I do not reverse or cancel your bid. I ask that all bidders be serious about the purchase. I do not want someone running the bid amount up and afterward decide this car is not for them or they bought a different unit on eBay or elsewhere. If you are not sure if this car is for you do not bid. I want to ensure the high bidder will follow through and no second chance offer will be needed.

Translogic 164: Driving the fuel cell vehicles of the 2014 LA Auto Show
Wed, Nov 26 2014The LA Auto Show is known for its environmentally friendly vehicle debuts. At last year's show, hydrogen fuel cell concepts from Honda and Toyota joined a lease-ready Hyundai Tucson FCEV to cast a green hue over the convention center. This year, automakers took us a step closer to a fuel cell future by offering drives of their hydrogen-electric hybrids. Translogic host Jonathon Buckley takes a ride in the Toyota Mirai, which is headed for production in 2016. He follows that with a spin in the Volkswagen Passat HyMotion and the Audi A7 Sportback h-tron quattro concept. Which of these fuel cell vehicles holds the most promise? Tune in to find out. VW makes $9.2B offer for rest of truckmaker Scania
Sun, 23 Feb 2014Volkswagen owns or has controlling interests in three commercial truck operations: besides its own, VW began buying shares in Sweden's Scania in 2000 and now controls 89.2 percent of its shares and 62.6 percent of its capital, then bought into Germany's Man in 2006 - in order to prevent Man from trying to take over Scania - and now owns 75 percent of it. The car company has managed to work out 200 million euros in savings, but believes it can unlock a total of 650 million euros in savings if it takes outright control of Scania and can spread more common parts among the three divisions.
It has proposed a 6.7-billion-euro ($9.2 billion) buyout, but according to a Bloomberg report, Scania's minority investors don't appear inclined to the deal. Although effectively controlled by VW, Scania is an independently-listed Swedish company, and a profitable one at that: in the January-September 2013 period its operating profit was 9.4 percent compared to Man's 0.4 percent. Some of the other shareholders believe that Scania is better off on its own and will not approve the deal, some have asked an auditor to look into the potential conflict of interest between VW and Man, while some are willing to examine the deal and "make an evaluation based on what a long-term owner finds is good," which might not be just "the stock market price plus a few percent." The buyout will only be official assuming VW can reach the 90-percent share threshold that Swedish law mandates for a squeeze-out.
Many of the arguments against boil down to investors believing that Scania's Swedishness and unique offerings are what keep it profitable, and ownership by the German car company will kill that. (Have we heard that somewhere before?) If Volkswagen can buy that additional 0.8-percent share in Scania, perhaps its buyout wrangling with Man will give it an idea of what it's in for: "dozens" of minority investors in the German truckmaker have filed cases against VW, seeking higher prices for their shares. It is likely only to delay the inevitable, though. If VW is really going to compete with Daimler and Volvo in the truck market, it has to get the size, clout and savings to do so.
