2010 Volkswagen Eos Komfort 2-Door Convertible
Vehicle Description 2010 VW EOS "KOMFORT" 7,200 Miles / Automatic / 2.0 Liter Turbo / 200 H.P. 2010 Volkswagen EOS "Komfort", with only 7,200 Miles real miles. According to Carfax this car was involved in an accident on 08/2011, and was repaired and issued a salvage title in Texas. All the safety inspections have been done, and the car now has a Clean California Title, not a salvage title. The vehicle history report shows the mileage as accurate. This is a Sunny Southern California car...................No Rust! Many vehicles from other states experience a rather hard life dealing with harsh weather conditions. Rain, snow, hail, salt roads and cold weather cause all kinds of issues both mechanically and cosmetically. So a California vehicle may appeal to you. The exterior of the car is Black, with black interior. The body is relatively straight and dent free. The paint looks really nice and glossy. Please check out the pictures to see condition of rims and tires. The engine runs strong with no smoke or funny noises and the transmission shifts nicely. As you will see in a couple of my pictures, the dash says the trunk cover is open, and the top on this car will not work, and is stuck in an in-between mode. Until the top issue is fixed, the only way to open the trunk, is to use the emergency release from inside the car. The A/C blows, but is warm. This would make a great daily driver. Please look at all the pictures and keep in mind that this is not a brand new car. Normal wear is to be expected. If this car was perfect, Kelly Blue Book is $20,775. I purchased this car on 8/12/13 exactly as you see it in my pictures. I did not own this car in 2011 when it was damaged, and have no idea as to whom did the repairs. If you put the vin# of this car in Yahoo/Google search you will see pictures of this car about 1 year ago, at an insurance auction, and it pretty much looks exactly the same as it does today (no help). I have priced this car WAY under market value already, and will NOT respond to any offers. There will be a $55 doc fee and a $135 auction services fee added to the winning bid. There is no exceptions. California residents will also be charged sales tax, registration and smog fees. All out of state buyers will be subject to California sales tax if they pick the vehicle up in person. This is legally required by the State Board of Equalization as well as the Department of Motor Vehicles. No sales tax will be charged to out of state buyers that ship vehicle by means of a licensed transporter. We require a $250 deposit within 24 hours via paypal, bankwire or cash in person. The balance must be paid within 7 days via cashiers check, bankwire or cash in person. Paypal will only be accepted for the deposit. Vehicle and title will only be released once payment clears our bank. If you are local, and need help with financing, please contact us at (714) 319-2173 before bidding. Please do not bid without proper financing. All vehicles sold as-is. An extended warranty may be available for this vehicle. Contact us for additional information. We help transport about 90% of our cars sold. Once you consider the price of airplane tickets, fuel costs, hotel prices and your time, transporting just may be the best option for you. And we can help walk you through the entire shipping process. Feel free to ask for a shipping quote by sending us your zip code. We will make some phone calls for you and try to get you the best price possible. Most major cities will be around $500-$800. Northern California, Nevada and Arizona should be closer to $200. If you are getting your own shipping quotes, our zip code is 92868. THE RECENT TREND ON EBAY HAS BEEN TO WAIT UNTIL THE AUCTION IS OVER AND TRY AND GET A BETTER DEAL. Volkswagen Golf R 400 Concept still makes us swoon
Fri, Nov 21 2014We know, we know – this hot little guy isn't really new or anything. Volkswagen first rolled out the Golf R 400 concept in Beijing earlier this year, and since its debut, we've heard rumors that the German automaker might-perhaps-maybe-hopefully build the thing. Its showing here in Los Angeles simply marks the first time it's debuting in America, and honestly, we can't get enough. So here it is, again. Hello, Golf R 400 – we love you. And what's not to love? What starts as a normal Golf R gets better with a more aggressive appearance, big wheels, some tasteful neon yellow accents, and a whole mess of power. The original concept packed 395 horsepower from an overblown 2.0-liter turbo-four, though the most recent reports suggest a production version could produce over 400 hp. To keep it all in line, the concept has all-wheel drive. And inside, it's the same functional, comfortable Golf we've always loved. There's nothing left to say, really. We love this car, and you should, too. Check it out in the gallery above.
Silverado HD, Touareg V10 TDI face off in diesel tug-of-war
Sun, 30 Dec 2012A couple weeks ago, we watched a Chevrolet Silverado get dominated by a Dodge Ram Heavy Duty in a fullsize pickup tug-of-war, but in that truck's defense, Chevy's Vortec gas engine was no match for the torquey Cummins turbo diesel. For our next round of vehicular tug-of-war, a Duramax-powered Silverado HD takes on Volkswagen Touareg V10 TDI.
Now, on paper, putting the Duramax V8's 365 horsepower and 660 pound-feet of torque up against the V10's 310 hp and 553 lb-ft looks like an easy win for the Bowtie, but unfortunately, this battle has a similar result as the Dodge versus Chevy video, with the Silverado smoking its tires trying to move forward as it gets pulled backwards. Put another way: YouTube 2, Chevy Silverado 0.
It just goes to show, though, that big tires, bolt-on fender flares and goofy smoke stacks don't improve your towing abilities. Besides, what did the Silverado driver expect when the Touareg V10 TDI has towed a Boeing 747 in the past?
Lamando is Chinese for VW Jetta CC [w/video]
Sun, 31 Aug 2014Volkswagen is not messing around when it characterizes its new MQB architecture as modular. It's already underpinning the VW Golf, Audi A3, Seat Leon and Skoda Octavia, and will soon form the basis for many more. And here is the latest.
Unveiled at the Chengdu Motor Show in China this weekend is the new Volkswagen Lamando, a four-door coupe similar in size to a Jetta but with the svelter roofline of the larger Passat-based CC to go after the Mercedes-Benz CLA. It's essentially the production version of the New Midsize Coupe concept that previewed its arrival at the Beijing Motor Show this past April, and will be built locally for local consumption by VW's joint venture with SAIC.
Power comes from either a 1.4- or 2.0-liter turbo four mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox, with an equivalent price tag below $30,000. Whether this or any similar vehicle ever arrives in North American showrooms remains to be seen, but we'll be watching to find out. In the meantime you can scope it out in the trippy video below and the photos in the gallery above.
