1979 VW BUS CAMPMOBILE DELUXE WESTFALIA. This is a hard to find "TRUE SURVIVOR" westfalia campmobile with original factory Mexico Beige paint in awesome condition and complete clean interior. This bus is waiting for that buyer who prefers the feeling of owning and driving an 'unrestored' vehicle in much better condition that many restored buses around. Original owner had it since new until 2010 when it was sold to second owner who made the mechanical maintenance to make it 100% road worthy and some cosmetic improvements including but not limited to install new canvas top and new tires. It runs great and starts at any time on all weather conditions. It idles and accelerates like it was made for. Transmission shifts in all gears as it should with no weird noises at all. Suspension is also great and drives straight on the road, steering wheel is tight with no play and still plenty of thread left to adjust in the future. Odometer shows 94,115 original miles. Exterior looks awesome, original paint still shines pretty well with some minor dings and dents mostly at the sliding door but not very noticeable. Accident free bus. No body work ever!!!!!! VW builds 250,000th Passat in Chattanooga in just two years
Sun, 26 May 2013It hasn't been without incident or union organizing drive, but the Volkswagen plant in Chattanooga, TN has built its 250,000 Passat in just a little over two years. The Night Blue Passat TDI with black leather has come just two years and five weeks after the first customer car came off the line on April 18, 2011.
In the last year the plant operated at the 150,000-unit capacity that it was intended for, but the downturn in Passat sales and subsequent worker layoffs mean it will be a challenge to repeat the feat. The plant does have the world's largest solar park, though, and you can't take that away from them.

Who wants to pay a million dollars for a VW Beetle?
Mon, Jun 1 2015The Volkswagen Beetle was always envisioned as a cheap mode of transportation, but now one is being offered for over $1 million by a dealer in the company's home base of Wolfsburg, Germany. So just what makes this Beetle so special? It's not the first one made, and it's not the last one made – but it comes close: This particular example is an Ultima Edicion – one of the final Bugs made in Mexico before production ended even there in 2003. It's decked out in beige with a black fabric interior and none – repeat, none – of the bells and whistles. With less than 75 miles on the odometer, it offers one wealthy buyer the rare opportunity to get an original Beetle (not some modernized incarnation thereof) in factory-fresh condition, which no one has been able to do for over a dozen years now. Does that make it worth the million-euro ($1.1M) asking price? Not if you ask us, no. But then we wouldn't count ourselves among the most dedicated Beetle fanatics out there.
