It is a tin top model and is only equiped with the rear seat which folds down to a bed . And side cabinets to hold your camping gear . Its simple its clean and its ready to use and enjoy . I purchased the van from an older gentleman who owned and cared for the van for more than the last 10 years . The engine is a 1600cc single port , and runs like a dream . The transmission was rebuilt and shift perfect just as it should . I had the brake system completely gone through . wheel cylinders , brake lines ,etc.. The tires are heavy duty load rated tires in like new condition . The body of this van is rust free and in amazing shape for its age . The bus was painted once in its life the original Lotus White factory color . Has one small wave in the front of the roof , but is hardly noticable . The paint shines like new and presents itself like and brand new bus . The interior has been completely redone with TMI door panels ,seat covers and new padding . Feels like your driving a bus straight off the lot back in 1969. The pictures tell it all , The bus is in fantastic shape and I believe that anyone who buys this bus wont be dissappointed . VW builds 250,000th Passat in Chattanooga in just two years
Sun, 26 May 2013It hasn't been without incident or union organizing drive, but the Volkswagen plant in Chattanooga, TN has built its 250,000 Passat in just a little over two years. The Night Blue Passat TDI with black leather has come just two years and five weeks after the first customer car came off the line on April 18, 2011.
In the last year the plant operated at the 150,000-unit capacity that it was intended for, but the downturn in Passat sales and subsequent worker layoffs mean it will be a challenge to repeat the feat. The plant does have the world's largest solar park, though, and you can't take that away from them.

Final Volkswagen Eos to leave the plant in May
Tue, Feb 24 2015Volkswagen has made no secret of its plans to wind down production of the Eos hardtop convertible, and the automaker has already celebrated the model's retirement in the US with the Final Edition (pictured above). However, the company now has an actual time for that end to come. The final Eos rolls off the line from the VW factory in Portugal in May, according to Germany's Automobilwoche, and European customers have until March 27 to get any final orders in. The company has no plans to offer a successor, it previously indicated. After about nine years of production and some 230,000 made, the Eos proved to be a success, at least in its home market of Germany. A VW spokesperson told Automobilwoche it was the country's bestselling hardtop convertible at one point, but customer preferences have changed toward preferring soft-top models. That switch spelled doom for the Eos. Drivers who want some wind in their hair still have some choices in the VW lineup. The Beetle Convertible remains on sale in the US, and Europeans also get the droptop Golf.
