Ready to go camping this weekend, update to your liking, or do a complete easy restoration. Starts, runs, and drives as it should. It has lived most of it life on the west coast and is very solid. The interior is in excellent condition. A little polish will bring out the beauty of the original material. The pop up top is new. The camper seat cushions and window fabric are intact. The cab seats are solid and very usable as is but could use cleaning or covers. A little surface rust and touch up paint is needed. The sink and countertop needs replaced. There is a second battery and auxiliary gasoline heater. There is a "child's cot" for over the front seats complete with attached brackets. Also, a small cot in the pop up tent area that is real handy to duffel bags or whatever when camp is set up. The successful bidder will need to send $500 via Paypal within 24 hours of the end of the auction. The balance due via a cashiers check within seven days. The check must clear my bank before the vehicle leaves my possession. Cash at pickup is also an option. The vehicle is being sold AS IS, WHERE IS. There is no excuse for non-payment. The vehicle must be picked up in person of via a transportation company of your choice.

Volkswagen breaks 40-year-old sales record in 2012
Sun, 13 Jan 2013The last time Volkswagen moved this many vehicles in America in one year, Richard Nixon was still a President in good standing, Let It Be was a radio hit and each car wearing the VW badge boasted an air-cooled engine. That's right, with a grand total of 580,286 vehicles sold in the US last year, the VW Group has broken its own four-decades-old sales record by 2,899 vehicles.
Of that 580k total sold, 438k were Volkswagens and 139k were Audi products - increases of 35.1 percent and 18.5 percent, respectively, in year-over-year sales. The ultra-premium members of the VW group also fared well; Bentley delivered 2,315 vehicles for a 23.3-precent increase, and Lamborghini delivered 520 units for a 52.9-percent jump. Bugatti, we're told is "right on track."
Jetta (pictured) sales paced the marque with 170k models sold, and Passat also finished very strong with sales of 117k total. Tiguan also racked up its best year on file, with 31,731 models shifted.
GM outsold VW globaly in first quarter, Toyota reports numbers next week
Thu, 18 Apr 2013General Motors released its first quarter sales figures this week, reporting that it sold 2.36 million cars and trucks worldwide. That figure represents an increase of 3.6 percent when compared to the same period last year. GM's growth was attributed to many factors, including global Cadillac sales that were up 26 percent and Chevrolet posting a one percent increase over last year (this marked Chevy's tenth straight year of record global sales).
Volkswagen came in just behind GM, as the German automaker reported global sales from January through March at 2.27 million vehicles, an increase of five percent when compared to last year. While that number was strong, VW is cautioning that markets outside China and the US, such as those in Europe, are becoming a challenge as economies falter.
Yet to report sales is Toyota, current holder of the global world sales crown (the Japanese company sold 9.75 million cars last year, against 9.29 million sold by GM and 9.1 million vehicles sold by VW). Even though GM and Toyota both say they don't care who sells the most units, it is unquestionably a strong bragging point and sales equate to revenue. That said, Toyota will report its first quarter numbers next week.
VW midsize crossover production headed for Chattanooga
Fri, 10 Jan 2014Potential labor woes aside, it looks like Volkswagen's Chattanooga, TN factory must have done something that impressed the bosses in Germany, because it sounds like the three-year-old factory is set to score a second model.
The factory currently builds the Passat, and has been in the running alongside VW's Puebla, Mexico factory to build a new crossover vehicle, likely based on the CrossBlue Concept. According to Bloomberg, a pair of unnamed sources have confirmed that Chattanooga is the favorite ahead of an official announcement.
When last we heard about the CrossBlue Concept, word was that a production decision had been delayed over concerns about the three-row CUV's business case. That August 2013 story claimed that a decision regarding the CrossBlue would be pushed back until early in 2014, which means we're ripe for some sort of news, whether good or bad.
