Ok, Here is a rare opportunity to own a piece of Volkswagen History. I bought this from the Original Owner. It sat in a garage in Mcminville Oregon for years. It served the owner very well through out the years, until it was parked, due to Brake issues. It was bought new @ Koch Motor's and I have the Original Dealer licence plate Frame, as well as the Original Oregon Plates, that were issued to it when the Original owner bought it.
When I purchased it...It had sat for quite a while. It needed some rust repair in the front floor, as well as the rear cargo floor. I bought and installed a Gerson complete front floor. It still could use some rust repair, but nothing too crazy really. You can enjoy it right now and do it as time allows, as I have done. It will come with the Original Title from 1968 when it was paid off, Original Keys, Original Owners manual, warranty booklet, receipt's, Selling Dealers Warranty looking credit card with the vehicle and owners info on it, which is a pretty cool thing that is usually missing. It has the Original Engine and Original Big but Transmission. This bus runs and drives great! Here is a List of what I have done to make it Road Worthy:
New Shocks and new Link Pins
New Master Cylinder
New Wheel Cylinders
New Shoes and I had the drums turned
New soft Brake lines up front
Full Tune up on Original Engine
New Battery and Fuel Line from Tank to pump to carb, as well as a new fuel filter.
New Tires with fresh Powdercoated wheels
Lubed all Zerk Fittings
It is a Walk Thru Model, which is more desirable to most and has all of the Original Seats and they are in Excellent Condition. The Middle seat Upholstery could be stitched up. Both Original Floor mats are Intact. Has long interior panel but missing other Interior panels. Has the Spare Tire in back, as well as the Original Spare Tire cover. Overall, it is hard to find a bus as complete as this one is and it is even harder to find one in this condition.
Overseas Buyers are Welcome to bid and There is the Port of oakland, which is 100 miles from me, so not too far.
* NOTE: My Personalized California Licence plate and Frame are not included in this sale. It will come with the Original Oregon plates and Original Selling Dealer's Frame.

VW pulls Lamborghini and Bentley from the Paris Motor Show
Tue, Sep 20 2016It's been slightly more than a year since the news that Volkswagen had intentionally cheated on diesel emissions testing broke. Since then, the company's reputation and image have suffered and it has struggled to regain its footing and composure. The automaker is shelling out billions in fines, so cost cutting is inevitable. Today, Reuters reports that Volkswagen subsidiaries Lamborghini and Bentley won't bring their elaborate displays to the Paris Motor Show next week. Auto shows can cost automakers millions of dollars, especially for supercar and luxury car brands that constantly try to compete and one-up with each other. Much of the money and fanfare goes to catering the media, and if an automaker has nothing new to reveal it can be difficult to justify the expense. The company told Reuters that it plans to attend smaller events that focus more on potential buyers. The Volkswagen group as a whole has shifted it's focus, both when it comes to products and auto shows like Paris. Next week, the automaker will be focusing on electric vehicles and electromobility. The company plans to reveal a new EV with 373 miles of range, eclipsing both the Tesla Model 3 and Chevy Bolt. Volkswagen has plans for 30 new electric vehicles by 2025. Lamborghini and Bentley aren't the only major automakers skipping Paris. Ford, Volvo, and Aston Martin have all decided to save money and focus their efforts elsewhere. Related Video:
VW Up Buggy may be headed to showrooms
Tue, 02 Jul 2013Volkswagen showed six conceptual takes on its Up at the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show, one of those being the Up Buggy. Although few will probably remember it, VW has not forgotten it, applying for a patent for the Meyers Manx revival roadster way back in March 2012 and being approved in June of this year, according to a report in Autocar. That will give the automaker a 14-year lock on the design while it decides whether to move forward with a reboot of its past.
A patent doesn't mean the Up Buggy will ever move beyond the sheet-of-paper stage, but Autocar says VW is studying the market to see if a production version is feasible. We can't see North America ever getting it, but even so, we wouldn't complain if they made it - especially if they put an exposed engine in back that was set off by 18-inch-long twin tailpipes jutting straight up into the air. However, for a company that aims to be the world's number-one automaker by 2018, a niche vehicle for its mass-market brand would be a surprising use of resources.
VW agrees to halt next-gen rally car development to help others stay in WRC
Sat, 22 Jun 2013Volkswagen has petitioned the FIA to hold on to the current specifications for cars in the World Rally Championship, according to Autosport.com. The move is evidently an effort to keep as many competitors in the sport as possible, despite the fact that using the current spec racers may actually hurt Volkswagen's chances at winning. The three factory teams currently competing in the WRC are at the end of a three-year homologation cycle at the end of 2013, and new cars are expected to bow next year. But developing new racers could cost as much as $4.7 million.
That price tag would put M-Sport (which fields Ford racers) out of the WRC game for 2014 and would put Citroën participation in question as well. VW has already begun work on the next iteration of its Polo R WRC, and the hatch has nabbed four wins in six rounds this season. Now it appears that car won't bow until at least 2015. The FIA has officially agreed to freeze homologation of new WRC cars until the end of next season.
