I am selling my beloved 1971 Volkswagen Beetle. This girl has always been the center of attention in the family. She has seen things, things that she will never forget. She is one of a kind. The roof has been cut off making her a slick roadster. She does not have a top so no rainy days for her. One can be made for a couple hundred dollars which would then make her an all season driver. A custom made yellow and white interior has been put into this car. It is not in perfect shape but isn't bad either. The engine has beed rebuilt not too long ago and is beautifully dressed. The engine really looks like it just came out of the box. The car starts, drives, and stops, though the brakes could use a small tune up. Driving this car to shows would make me the center of attention due to the uniqueness in the custom made convertible roadster. I promise you this car will not disappoint you. I can guarantee it. VW debuts Get Happy Super Bowl ad

Brace yourself for another tidal wave of Super Bowl commercials. Volkswagen has released its spot for this year's big game. Set to air during the second quarter, the Get Happy spot follows one jubilant office worker as he makes his way through the day, spreading joy wherever he goes. The source of his happiness? A Volkswagen Beetle, of course. Now, if you're wondering why a gaggle of white guys are running around on your screen with Jamaican accents, it will help to know the spot is part of a larger Get Happy campaign featuring Jimmy Cliff.
The first ad in the series featured the artist singing his rendition of "C'Mon, Get Happy," complete with a little help from some notorious unhappy YouTube stars. You can take a look at the new ad before it airs below, along with the complete press release for a little more background.
Volkswagen Golf voted 2013 European Car of the Year
Tue, 05 Mar 2013The seventh-generation Volkswagen Golf just went on sale in Europe, but it is already off to a promising start. Announced as the Geneva Motor Show kicked off, the newest Golf was named European Car of the Year for 2013 in dominating style over cars like the Subaru BRZ/Toyota GT86 twins, Volvo V40, Ford B-Max and Mercedes-Benz A-Class.
According to Automotive News Europe, the MkVII Golf won handily over its rivals with a total of 414 votes. The Subaru BRZ and Toyota GT86 received 202 votes finishing in a distant second, while the Volvo V40 (189 votes), Ford B-Max (148 votes) and Mercedes-Benz A-Class (138 votes) round out the top five. The new Golf marks the third Volkswagen product to receive the prestigious award with previous cars including the MkIII Golf and the most recent iteration of the Polo.
Volkswagen sketches Geneva-bound concept
Wed, Feb 25 2015Volkswagen has released a pair of sketches that give us our first official glimpse at the company's new concept car, set to debut at the Geneva Motor Show next week. Details are slim – the car doesn't even have a name yet – but we do have some facts about VW's swoopy new showcar. First off, it's a sedan – well, "four-door coupe" – but is said to have a hatchback configuration. Autoblog has also learned that the car will be powered by a hybrid powertrain, using a TSI gasoline engine paired with two electric motors, and uses an all-wheel-drive configuration that's likely similar to that in the recently unveiled Cross Coupe GTE concept. Volkswagen says this showcar uses a new, progressive design language for the brand. And while it sort of looks like a dead ringer for a new CC, we're told this concept is positioned above that model. For now, that's all we know, but we expect a host of other details to be released closer to the car's official debut in Geneva next week. Stay tuned.
