Up for NO RESERVE AUCTION is this beautiful one-of-a-kind 1969 Volkswagen Beetle. Always a California car, it's rust free!! About four years ago it was completely restored by a local man for his daughter to drive to College. He did a really nice job; the motor was rebuilt, the seats were re-covered, and it got a very beautiful new paint job in her favorite color Lavender. Included in the restoration were some added-on creature and safety comforts like: Electric fan-forced defroster, front disc brakes, Mercedes fog lights. Also has the very desirable Pop Out, Pop Open rear windows. This car is striking! Everywhere you go people point and smile. You might see a lot of Bugs but this one is truly unique. Everything works including the heater. New tires just a few months ago. The interior is in excellent condition; there is one tear on the top of the passenger seat. The motor lid got bumped and repainted, so it's not an exact match, but very close. The very cool vintage roof rack is included in the price. If you have ever owned or driven one of these great little cars then you know how much fun they can be! Just running around town is a blast. This would make an unforgettable Christmas present for that special daughter or wife. Absolutely a turn key, drive-it-away car. Clear California title, current tags, smog exempt. What else can you buy at this price with the history and popularity of a 1969 Beetle?? Available for inspection any time during the auction by appointment. Please remember that you are bidding to buy, not just come look. Full payment is due three days after the end of the auction and I don't take PayPal. NO RESERVE AUCTION!! This means someone will get this beauty. I'll ship anywhere in the world at buyer's expense. I can have it delivered to your door in the U.S., I work with a very reliable shipper. Email, text or call me at 831-383-2499 with questions. Good luck and Happy Bidding!

VW using other manufacturing locations as leverage in battle with TN [w/video]
Sat, 26 Apr 2014We've reached a new step in the ongoing drama at Volkswagen's factory in Chattanooga, TN. The United Auto Workers recently dropped its opposition to the union vote and agreed that it wouldn't hold another ballot for at least a year. Now, the new question becomes where VW is going to build its forthcoming midsize SUV.
Earlier, it had been considered all but certain that the SUV, likely a production version of the CrossBlue concept (pictured above), would be built in Tennessee. However, it seems the Chattanooga factory might have competition to produce it. In emails obtained by The Detroit News, VW's lawyer wrote to the Tennessee economic development department in January saying, "While we understand there are some 'non-deal' issues that are causing a delay in the TN solution, VW has been successful in reaching agreement on terms at the alternative locations."
As previously reported, the state of Tennessee allegedly offered VW about $300 million in incentives to build the vehicle there and create an estimated 1,350 jobs, but it later rescinded the deal. Newly leaked documents from NewsChannel 5 (WTVF-TV) in Nashville allegedly show just how close that offer was to being completed. It appears that VW actually sent the government the first draft of a memorandum of understanding agreeing to the incentives, but the state removed the offer in late January.
Volkswagen Golf voted 2013 European Car of the Year
Tue, 05 Mar 2013The seventh-generation Volkswagen Golf just went on sale in Europe, but it is already off to a promising start. Announced as the Geneva Motor Show kicked off, the newest Golf was named European Car of the Year for 2013 in dominating style over cars like the Subaru BRZ/Toyota GT86 twins, Volvo V40, Ford B-Max and Mercedes-Benz A-Class.
According to Automotive News Europe, the MkVII Golf won handily over its rivals with a total of 414 votes. The Subaru BRZ and Toyota GT86 received 202 votes finishing in a distant second, while the Volvo V40 (189 votes), Ford B-Max (148 votes) and Mercedes-Benz A-Class (138 votes) round out the top five. The new Golf marks the third Volkswagen product to receive the prestigious award with previous cars including the MkIII Golf and the most recent iteration of the Polo.
10 best new car deals of November 2021
Thu, Nov 4 2021Sales of new cars, trucks and SUVs were drastically affected in 2020 due to the (still) ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The market started to show signs of recovery toward the end of last year before really coming on strong in the early months of 2021. Of course, then pandemic-related parts and worker shortages along with global shipping constraints started running amok and causing a great deal of pricing fluctuation and a limited supply of certain vehicles. Those problems (among other things) have led to record-high new-car transaction prices in the United States. The good news is that there are still plenty of great deals on new cars. Using data provided by TrueCar, we’ve compiled a list of some of the best automotive deals for November 2021. WeÂ’ve noted the original MSRP, the average transaction price, and the total savings in both dollars and as a percentage of the original sticker price. Basically, weÂ’ve done all the hard work for you! So now, all you need to do is compare deals, go on a few test drives, and maybe drive away in a great car (and an even better bargain).
