This is a 1969 VW bug. it is in pretty good shape. It was brought to Missouri in 2009 by a freind of mine. He had the motor rebuilt. then lost interest in the car. I purchased it last year it had a wiring problem so we rewired the fuse panel and put a new battery in it. I put off road tires on the rear. It does have a baha kit with pipe bumpers on it. The paint is faded and interior is showing its age but over all the cars in pretty good shape. There is a few little rust spots see Photos. It has a 4spd trans. the clutch feels tight. I believe it has a 1600cc motor but not sure. it is the smaller one of the two that came out in these cars. give me a call with any questions I dont check email like I should. 660-341-7111. VW says it has sold over 100,000 TDI diesels in America this year
Thu, 26 Dec 2013Volkswagen Group of America has lit oil-burning fireworks to celebrate the sales of more than 100,000 TDI Clean Diesel vehicles in the US between its VW and Audi brands this year. According to VW, that means it is responsible for more than 75 percent of diesel-engined cars and SUVs sold here - perhaps not surprising when the two brands offer a total of 12 diesel models.
What might be surprising is that the number of diesels isn't far off the estimated sales of 90,000 battery electric vehicles and PHEVs, with 15,000 of those accounted for by the Tesla Model S, another 12,000 or so being the Toyota Prius PHEV.
VW's keen to play up the ease of making diesel part of your life, stressing that it doesn't need any change to the refueling infrastructure and that "this is a technology delivering real answers to society's concerns about fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions without compromises."

VW clubs pay it forward to fix elderly woman's vandalized '69 Bus
Sun, Jan 11 2015Not long after Thanksgiving, surveillance cameras caught four boys in Arizona throwing rocks through the windows of a 1969 Volkswagen bus belonging to an elderly woman called Ann. A few nights later they returned to the scene of the first crime and repeated it, smashing windows they missed before. Ann had no other car and no way to make a living, but when Jesus Aguilera – a member of the Arizona Bus Club – came across the incident on a Facebook page, he got to work. When he was finished, the AZ Bus Club and the Tucson Mob Squad had donated thousands of dollars to pay for new glass and get it installed, and now Ann has a magic bus she can drive again.
