THIS LITTLE 1960 BUG HAS A HAPPY HAPPY HISTORY OF LOVE AND CARE. THE PAST OWNER OF THIS LOVELY CAR WAS ,LIKE SO MANY PEOPLE THAT HAVE NEVER RESTORED A CLASSIC CAR , JUST PLAIN WENT OVERBOARD ON THE RESTORATION AS MANY DO. WE HAVE RECEIPTS FOR OVER 14,000 DOLLARS ON THE RESTORATION IN 2007, INCLUDING DRIVETRAIN,BODY, INTERIOR,UNDERCARRIAGE, WITH NO MONEY SPARED. I HAVE BEEN RESTORING CARS FOR OVER 30 YEARS AND IN MY OPINION, FOR A 6 YEAR OLD RESTORATION , SHE IS PRETTY DARN SHARP!
IN MY OPINION, THE ONLY NEGATIVE IS THE PAINT,WHEN IT IS INDOORS, SHOW SOME DIRT IN IT IN VARIOUS PLACES. THE CAR HAS NEVER BEEN COLOR SANDED OR BUFFED SO PROBABLY YOU COULD ELIMATE 90% OF THIS. NOW UNDERSTAND THAT I AM TRYING TO BE AS CRITICAL AS I CAN AS NOT TO MISREPESENT THE CAR. IF YOU WERE NOT AN EXTREME COLLECTOR, YOU WOULD NOT FAULT THE CAR ANY WAY. THE OVERALL APPEARANCE IS NICE. HAVE FOUND ABSOLUTLY NO RUST.
DRIVETRAIN IS PERFECT WITH RECIEPTS FOR OVER 4,000 DOLLARS SPENT MOTOR AND TRANSMISSION. VERY NICE DETAILING UNDER HOOD!
INTERIOR IS EXTREMELY NICE. THE ONLY FLAW I CAN SEE IS THE HEADLINER HAS SOME VERY SLIGHT DISCOLORING IN THE BACK UNDER REAR WINDOW. NO IT IS NOT LEAKING. HAS RADIO DELETE PLATE.
UNDER CARRIAGE HAS ALL BEEN REPAIRED AND IS VERY RESPECTABLE. ALL SUSPENSION PART REPLACED. NO UNDERCOATING ,SO EVERYTHING IS VERY VISIBLE.
WE ARE SELLING THE WONDERFUL LITTLE CAR AT "no reserve" AND SOMEONE IS GOING TH GET A BARGIN! YOU CAN NOT TOUCH THIS RESTORATION FOR THE PRICE!!!!! WE ARE A TENNESSEE AUTO DEALER. IF CAR IS SOLD IN TENNESSEE WE ARE REQUIRED TO COLLECT THE SELLS TAX AND ADMIN. FEE AT TIME OF SALE. ANYONE OUT OF STATE CAN PAY THERE OWN TAX. SELLING PRICE WILL RECORDED ON TITLE. THIS CAR IS FOR SALE LOCAL AND WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO END AUCTION AT ANY TIME BEFORE THE AUCTION ENDS. OF COURSE IF CAR HAS AUCTUAL MONEY ON TI AUCTION WILL CONINUE. WE DO NOT GUARRANTEE MILES AS THIS IS A RESTORATION CAR AND NO WAT TO PROVE IT.

2023 CES Editors' Picks
Mon, Jan 9 2023Over the past few years, it has become more and more clear that the Consumer Electronics Show is a car show. And this year that reality is more clear than ever. Not only did established automakers show off seriously important vehicles, but a traditional electronics company brought a car that gives an idea of its intents (with the help of establishment car company). With so many car reveals, we had to rank our favorites. Our picks for this show are entirely electric. Or at least, they are on paper, since many are concepts. Considering the name of the show, it would be a little strange if they weren't. In fact, not only are many of our favorites concepts, they all are save for one. See how they shook out below. VW ID7 camo View 28 Photos 5. Volkswagen ID.7 "The ID.7 definitely got lost in the crowd at CES. That it was camouflaged definitely didn't help, even if that camo was electroluminescent (BMW trumped it big time with its color-changing Dee). Nevertheless, this is a close-to-production hatchback-ed sedan, not unlike today's Arteon, with an extra-long wheelbase courtesy its EV architecture. It should be a solid answer to the Tesla Model 3 and Hyundai Ioniq 6, and even if people obviously prefer SUVs now, VW says there is still a market for sedans. I know I'd probably prefer one." –Senior Editor, West Coast and Reviews, James Riswick Peugeot Inception concept View 12 Photos 4. Peugeot Inception "It's not often that show debuts surprise us. While Peugeot teased the Inception ahead of CES, its unveiling seemed almost incidental. But just look at this thing; it's like an electric French Mustang with someplace important to be. I don't buy into the stupid 'It's not a wheel!' thing that Peugeot CEO Linda Jackson described as providing a video-game-like drive experience, but that bit of silliness aside, this is a really promising design study. Give us more of these and fewer tall boxes, please." –Associate Editor Byron Hurd Afeela prototype from Sony Honda Mobility View 11 Photos 3. Afeela by Sony Honda “Ever since Sony showed off an impressively put-together concept car at CES a few years ago, IÂ’ve been anticipating the companyÂ’s next move. Apparently, that next move is “Afeela.” No, I donÂ’t love the name. The specs from SonyÂ’s original concept car give me hope that this prototype sportback (itÂ’s a hatchback!) will be fun to drive, though.
Recharge Wrap-up: AutoNation CEO calls anti-Tesla laws unnecessary, Common Pence donates subway money
Thu, Nov 13 2014Volkswagen has presented a list of near-term technologies to improve fuel economy and decrease emissions. The list includes an addition to a coasting function in its stop-start system, a 10-speed DSG transmission and a more power-dense four-cylinder TDI engine. Volkswagen aims to be the world's most sustainable automaker by 2018 through electric mobility, improved design and increased environmental performance from internal combustion vehicles. Volkswagen also announced other technologies for increased interactivity and connectivity in its vehicles. Read more at Green Car Congress. Commence Pence is a system that allows subway riders in London to donate their unused transit money to charity. People visiting the city often load up enough on their subway card (called Oyster Card) to get them through their trip and end up with unused funds leftover. Zander Whitehurst, a British designer, has created a device that can use the card's RFID to accept leftover funds, which then get diverted to charity rather than reverting back to the agency in charge of running the subway fare system. See the video below or read more at Wired. Mike Jackson, CEO of AutoNation has called Michigan's efforts to ban Tesla's direct sales in the state "unnecessary protectionism." The statement comes as a bit of a surprise, as it dissents from the majority of auto dealers who support a franchise model, as well as laws that forbid automakers selling directly to the consumer. "If Elon Musk wants to make a mistake and go with an inefficient distribution system, that's his right as an American," says Jackson, showing he feels he has little to fear from the electric automaker. Jackson has more to say on the matter, which you can read over at Green Car Reports. This content is hosted by a third party. To view it, please update your privacy preferences. Manage Settings. Fully Charged rolls into season 3 with VW XL1 and electric Land Rover
Sat, Jan 18 2014It's been some time since last we visited with British actor and electric car proponent Robert Llewellyn and his web-based video series, Fully Charged. The show, now sponsored by Ecotricity, has started rolling out its third season and now has available two episodes featuring a pair of truly unique – and diametrically opposed – vehicles. The first installment starts with some interesting numbers involving the host's Nissan Leaf and its energy consumption over the past 36,000 miles, but soon moves on to the ultra-aero, ultra-expensive Volkswagen XL1. Now, if you've already seen the footage from our own XL1 first drive review, there's not a lot new here except, perhaps, more enthusiasm and a better listen of the two-cylinder diesel kicking in. Still, it's a great reminder of a truly unique vehicle and we enjoyed the segment. The second episode features an electrified Land Rover Defender 110. This is a vehicle you'd more likely see on an African safari than at the local mall. It's not a home-built conversion either, but rather, something the company has put together "for the boffins to create the ideas and see if they work." Boasting a 50-mile range, it's certainly something we like to take on an off-road adventure. Llewellyn is given the chance to do just that, and though the course is somewhat milder than what we might attempt, it does feature a stretch of river and some rough, rutted tracks. You can watch both episodes by scrolling below let us know which vehicle you'd prefer in the comments. This writer is going with the four-wheel-drive. This content is hosted by a third party.
