Total Paid for Car Out of the Lot $69,457.00 (With Receipts that Show This Value) Personal Comments: My wife and I have driven the 2013 version of this car for 1.5 years and it is a beast of a car. From the comfort, to the incredible pull, this is an awesome car! We are sad to see it go, but we just do not have a desire to keep it (see questions below). Serious bidders only! Minimum of 15 positive feedback stars to bid, or I will cancel the bid if placed without prior authorization. No one with any negative feedback will be allowed to bid. Please contact me with any questions, I will try to answer as soon as possible. I am also selling this car locally and reserve the right to remove it from eBay at any time. Title has a lien on it (see questions below). Shipping: Buyer is responsible for ALL shipping charges and services. I am willing to work with you to coordinate when the shipper will pick up the car. Questions: Why are you selling a car with only 52 miles on it? Long story short, my wife and I bought a new 2013 VW Touareg
Executive Edition in December of 2012. Within the year, something went wrong
with the fuel pump control module, and the mechanics at Volkswagen were not
able to fix the issue in a timely manner. In California, the moment a car with less than 18,000 miles on it and less than 18 months of sale, stays in the shop for more than 30 days, it can be classified as a lemon. We pursued this route, and filed a lemon-law claim with Volkswagen of America. The car up for sale in this auction is the replacement, brand new 2014 Volkswagen Touareg Executive Edition that Volkswagen of America ordered custom for us. We purchased an extended service plan we bought from Volkswagen for $2,300.00 that covers the car bumper-to-bumper (minus the Factory-Installed Navigation System) for up to 100,000 miles or 120 months/10 years, whichever comes first. This extended service plan is fully transferrable to any individual(s) who buys the car. It is not transferrable to dealerships unfortunately. If you were to NOT want the extended service plan, I am able to return the extended service plan for a 10% fee ($230) since I am within the 60 day period of receiving the new car. How can I trust you to pay off the loan, receive full title, and transfer it to my name? I have been part of the eBay community since August of 2002 (12 years) and have reached P0wer Se11er status twice when I went on bulk selling sprees. I sold three cars so far, all of which have been successful and pleasant transactions. I have also accumulated 166 Positive Feedback scores throughout my time. I pride myself in being a very open, honest seller and this is why I am laying everything out on the table. I have never sold a car that still had a lien on it, but due to our situation, it is the only way I can sell it. Bottom line – I am willing to do whatever it takes to make you feel comfortable and secure. I already have talked with my credit union, and gone through the steps that need to occur to receive title and transfer it to a new person. As of the close of this auction, I will owe a balance of
$35,021.21. The easiest steps, as per the credit union are the following:
I am more than willing to sign any documents, notarized, whatever you like prior to wiring/sending a cashiers check if you would like. It could be simple stating something like the following: I, (my name), agree to transfer title of the following vehicle, 2014 Volkswagen Touareg Executive Edition with (VIN) upon receipt of funds to pay off remainder of loan. I am not a lawyer, nor do I know what is the best way to do this. I can only say that I will do whatever it takes to make you feel comfortable. Why will you NOT allow a test drive? Quite frankly I am not a dealership, nor can I sustain even the slightest scratch on this car. This is the reason it has been staying patiently in our garage while we waited on the credit union to receive title. This is a NEW car, except that the title has already been issued from the dealership classifying it as a “used” car. I urge you to go to your nearest Volkswagen dealership and ask to test drive an Executive Volkswagen Touareg TDI V6 to see how wonderful this car handles. That car you test drive at the dealership, is the same way this car is going to feel and respond, case and point. Please remember: Bidders with negative feedback MUST get prior authorization before bidding. Please contact me if interested. This is YOUR chance to get a brand new 2014 Executive Edition Touareg TDI at a discounted rate (compared to having gone to a dealer) with all of the added options possible! Happy Bidding and GOOD LUCK! |

Child cobalt miners: Automakers pledge ethical minerals sourcing for EVs
Wed, Nov 29 2017BERLIN - Leading carmakers including Volkswagen and Toyota pledged on Wednesday to uphold ethical and socially responsible standards in their purchases of minerals for an expected boom in electric vehicle production. Demand for minerals such as cobalt, graphite and lithium is forecast to soar in the coming years as governments crack down on vehicle pollution and carmakers step up their investments in electric models. To cover its plans for more than 80 new models by 2025, Volkswagen alone is looking for partners in China, Europe and North America to provide battery cells and related technology worth more than 50 billion euros ($59 billion). Talks with major cobalt producers, including Glencore, at VW's Wolfsburg headquarters last week ended without a deal. More than half of the world's cobalt comes from the Democratic Republic of Congo, a country racked by political instability and legal opacity, and where child labor is used in mines. On Wednesday, a group of 10 leading passenger-car and truck manufacturers announced an initiative to jointly identify and address ethical, environmental, human and labor rights issues in raw materials sourcing. The partnership dubbed "Drive Sustainability" consists of VW, Toyota Motor Europe, Ford, Daimler, BMW, Honda, Jaguar Land Rover, Volvo Cars and truckmakers Scania and Volvo. The alliance "will assess the risks posed by the top raw materials (such as mica, cobalt, rubber and leather) in the automotive sector," said Stefan Crets of the CSR Europe business network. "This will allow Drive Sustainability to identify the most impactful activities to pursue" to address issues within the supply chain.Reporting by Andreas Cremer.Related Video: Image Credit: Michael Robinson Chavez/The Washington Post via Getty Images Green BMW Ford Honda Jaguar Land Rover Mercedes-Benz Automakers Toyota Volkswagen Volvo Green Automakers Green Culture Electric Scania ethics mining
Skoda racing Up! to Worthersee with Citigo Rally concept
Thu, 17 May 2012If you thought the Volkswagen Group was about to wind down the endless stream of concept cars based on the new Up! city car, think again. Because not only is the Volkswagen brand itself keeping the train a-moving, so are its sister brands.
Skoda has its own version of the Up called the Citigo. But what racing fans know the Czech subsidiary for best is its rally program that has become a dominant force in the Intercontinental Rally Challenge and the basis for VW's own foray into the World Rally Championship. Now Skoda is bringing the two together with an exciting concept car previewed by the rendering above and confirmed in the press release below.
Following in the footsteps of the tantalizing Fabia roadster unveiled last year, the Citigo Rally concept is to be the centerpiece of the Skoda display at the Volkswagen Group's annual hot-hatch gathering at Lake Wörthersee in Austria. Details are scarce, but the show car will feature rally-inspired bodywork complete with 18-inch white alloys packed into aggressively flared wheel arches, a substantial rear wing and vents aplenty.
CEO says Volkswagen's buying spree is over
Mon, 03 Sep 2012
After adding Italian motorcycle icon Ducati to its stable and spending $5.6 billion on the rest of Porsche, Volkswagen CEO Martin Winterkorn says he's done shopping for a while.
"We have enough to do at the moment in taking our twelve brands to where we want to be," Winterkorn tells German newspaper Handelsblatt.
