Good condition overall and 99% complete. Strong running recent engine, new brakes and good tires. The car was gone through by a professional mechanic and everything was fixed to make this a dependable driver. Our professional mechanic friend installed a new brake master cylinder, gas/brake/clutch pedal assembly, new plugs and ignition parts and a reconditioned battery. Tires still have plenty of tread. The seats were recovered but are starting to show some signs of wear. A towing attachment was home built and attached to the front of the car. This car is an excellent candidate for restoration if such is your interest or you could drive it as-is.
Body is straight and complete with only a few minor annoyances here and there, as one might expect from a 40 year old car. The car was used as a tow-behind for an Airstream Motorhome and that use accounts for about 10% of the miles on the odometer. The original windows were replaced with plexiglass. The window frames are complete and in good condition.
Has some surface rust but no penetration. Top was replaced but has a couple of small holes about the size of a nickel. 1" x 1" tears in the front fenders from brackets that were added. Some rust on the chrome hubcaps. Original color was yellow but was inexpertly painted to match a motorhome. Right front brake engages before the others and will pull to the right or skid on gravel.

Brad and Sheena Van Orden are in the midst of a life-defining campaign to travel around the world, and they're doing it in a 1984 Volkswagen Vanagon custom built for the occasion. The past 15 months have seen the couple quit their jobs with Gore-Tex and drive from Arizona to the very southern tip of Argentina after spending a full two years saving and preparing for the trek. Now they're in southern Asia gearing up for the next leg of their journey.

Here are all the electric pickup trucks we know to be in the works, along with a few that are being discussed or mulled over. The GMC Hummer EV comes out swinging with 1,000 horsepower from GMÂ’s new Ultium electric powertrain program, a wealth of off-road features, a removable roof, Super Cruise and the revival of the Hummer name. Rivian R1T 2021 Rivian R1T View 15 Photos EV startup Rivian revealed its R1T electric pickup toward the end of 2018 with a claimed 0-60 time of 3 seconds and a towing capability of 11,000 pounds. Preproduction began in September 2020 at RivianÂ’s factory in Normal, Illinois. It was created with both enthusiasts and workers in mind, with features that can get it to remote places (portal axles, hydro-pneumatic suspension) and to get things done (room for 40 2x4s, equipped with eight 110-volt outlets and one 220-volt outlet). Since then, details have trickled out. Back in June, Ford announced its F-150 Electric would be coming within two years. WeÂ’ve seen it pull a million pounds worth of train and trucks, heard it will have more power than any other F-150, and seen its LED-laden front end.
Lamborghini and Bentley may hold off on SUVs so VW can conserve cash
Thu, 11 Oct 2012After surveying the European economic scene, Volkswagen may have decided now is not the time to launch utility vehicles with Bentley and Lamborghini badges. Bentley officials say they will continue to push for support for the EXP 9 F and Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelman has said planning for the Urus will continue until VW tells it to stop.
That decision could come on November 23, when VW's board will vote on the company's budget for equipment, factories and vehicles. With VW's sales slowing and the Euro economy slumping further, some industry watchers say the company is more likely to build its cash reserves than to introduce super-expensive luxury SUVs or crossovers.
"Such vehicles are anything but obligatory during a crisis," says Frankfurt-based Equinet AG analyst Tim Schuldt in a new Automotive News Europe story. "Delaying their launch would be no drama but help save costs."
