1.7l gas engine. Recent tune up, new michelin tires, and newer battery. This is that old ladies garage queen you were always looking for. White with blue interior. The interior is an overall 9.9 out of 10. Seats are perfect, dash is perfect, doors nearly flawless and the original blue carpet is in amazing condition. Headliner is almost perfect, sags ever so slightly but perfectly in tact. Only thing really on the interior is that the car could use 2 window handles. Everything works great but you can tell the weak plactic handles if used too aggressively are about to expire. All original paint, never an accident carfax original miles. Car is in amazing condition for a 30+ year old car. exterior flaws are minimal. Overall 9.5 out of 10. There is a small scratch with a small indentation on the rear tailgate of the car(see pic) not very bad at all and mostly only noticable up really close. Couple, I mean couple not 50, small chips here and there but again not noticable if your not looking for them. The corner plastic of the rear bumper has the smallest crack(see pic). More goods: Original floor mats! All window rubber is in excellent condition, no dings on hood or roof, 99.9% rust free exterior. NO rust in the common places by any means, Around side windows, by the windshield, gas cap, metal bumpers, wheel arches are all rust free entirely. The pics will do the telling. I have about 6 extensive videos and more pics of the car so if you are a SERIOUS buyer email me your cell and I can text you them from my phone. The videos and pics you can see the factory gaps in the doors, hood, hatch and such showing no signs of repair. Title in hand showing 1 owner. This is an extremely rare find for sure. Located in nnj. It's only worth what the buyer is willing to pay but the car is definitely a piece of history. I have the owners manual, original bill of sale, window sticker, RUST PROOFING/undercoating certificate, maintenance book, etc. I recommend and advise coming to see the car. Local pick up only in northern NJ 07460. If you need to arrange shipping or other means please email me before bidding. Thank you all

If VW defaults on loans it may sell Bentley or Lamborghini
Mon, Dec 7 2015If something goes catastrophically wrong with Volkswagen Group's recent $21 billion loan, brands like Bentley or Lamborghini could hit the auction block. According to two insiders to Reuters, the beleaguered German automaker agrees with its creditors to sell assets if the company somehow can't pay back the debt in a year. One of these anonymous people claimed the company hasn't yet deliberated over what to sell. However, the sources were willing to speculate that the power engineering portion of Man could be among the first to go. "Volkswagen may also consider divesting luxury car brands Bentley and Lamborghini or motor bike brand Ducati, although these units don't really move the needle," an insider said to Reuters. VW Group negotiated with the banks earlier this week to get the massive loan. The cash is necessary as a buffer in case the automaker doesn't have enough money on hand to repair vehicles or settle upcoming fines. VW would reportedly issue bonds in the spring to begin paying the debt. The company's bills will start racking up quickly in the new year. German authorities mandate a recall there in early 2016, and repair campaigns in the US for the 2.0- and 3.0-liter diesel engines are inevitable. There are also hundreds of class-action lawsuits to settle. The company needs to resolve its CO2 emissions scandal in Europe, too. In response to these financial threats, VW management created a cost-cutting plan to slash the research and development budget by $1.1 billion next year.
VW midsize crossover production headed for Chattanooga
Fri, 10 Jan 2014Potential labor woes aside, it looks like Volkswagen's Chattanooga, TN factory must have done something that impressed the bosses in Germany, because it sounds like the three-year-old factory is set to score a second model.
The factory currently builds the Passat, and has been in the running alongside VW's Puebla, Mexico factory to build a new crossover vehicle, likely based on the CrossBlue Concept. According to Bloomberg, a pair of unnamed sources have confirmed that Chattanooga is the favorite ahead of an official announcement.
When last we heard about the CrossBlue Concept, word was that a production decision had been delayed over concerns about the three-row CUV's business case. That August 2013 story claimed that a decision regarding the CrossBlue would be pushed back until early in 2014, which means we're ripe for some sort of news, whether good or bad.
France may still ban diesel vehicle sales
Sun, Nov 27 2016Legislators in France are not afraid to bring out the ban hammer when it comes to dirty vehicles. The city of Paris has implemented bans on old clunkers, and the French Prime Minister, Manuel Valls, said in 2014 that diesel cars were a "mistake" and that the government would "progressively undo" the error. Now the national government has said it will not rule out banning sales of new diesel vehicles by Renault and Volkswagen if those companies don't answer more questions about their vehicles' emissions. Environment Minister Segolene Royal said last week that France wants more information about the VW diesel defeat device and Renault's engine software. "We will be asking the consumer fraud investigators and prosecutors to communicate any findings that will enable us to establish whether it's necessary to withdraw sales authorizations," Royal said. Royal has been making waves recently at the COP22 meeting in Marrakesh, Morocco and said that Donald Trump's environmental policies will be " absolutely catastrophic" and weaken the US' standing in the world. If the US doesn't want to lead on climate change efforts, she said, "China can take the place of the United States." She has also been involved in a controversy at home over votes that her staff made to allow higher emissions level from vehicles.
