This is a one of a kind car. The 04 VW R32 with the big 3.2 V6 that you can't find anymore and is all wheel drive. This car will really move! It is naturally aspirated tuned VR6! This R32 is the extreme blue color. I'm letting it go with the forged 18" neuspeed RS-10 wheels with a set of new Continental Extreme Contact DWS tires. It has brand new set of Stop Tech Cryo drilled rotors all the way around with new Hawk HPS performance brake pads. I also upgraded the exhaust to 3" Neuspeed Stainless Steel high flow cat back exhaust. I will also through in a set of 19" Neuspeed forged RS-10 rims that are brand new and never mounted on the car. I had them powder coated satin black. The R32 also has a Neuspeed P-flow cold air intake. I bought this car with 28K miles from a one owner from Florida. It has a couple of very fine scratches on the right side of the hood and a couple of very small door dings on the bump guards on the door protectors. The interior head liner is in pretty good condition but has a couple small areas around the front sun visor that has come loose. Seats are in perfect condition as well as the carpet. Dash has a minute buckle from the heat around the dashboard air vent. Other than that the car is great. Paint looks pretty darn good for being 10yrs old. I need to sale ASAP to get extra money for surgery I'm having in Dec. I love this car and it handles like no other and I hate to let it go. So your getting a lot of very nice extras on this car at a very reasonable price. I just had the 65K tune up done at my local VW dealership as well as all service done. Please call me or e-mail me if you have any questions what so ever! I will except reasonable offers! My phone number is 423-544-0805 if you would like to contact me at anytime. Or e-mail me at richardmwest@aol.com

Volkswagen shows off performance-ish Passat concept
Mon, 14 Jan 2013As part of its 2013 Detroit Auto Show debut package, Volkswagen has rolled out a sportier version of the Passat sedan, though it's strictly conceptual for now. A small dose of go-fast visuals have been added to the handsome Volkswagen, including 19-inch wheels, carbon-capped mirrors, an advanced front lighting system, LED taillamps and dual exhaust. Some carbon bits and upgraded leather are found inside the cabin, as well.
But the real performance chops come in the form of a 1.8-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that sends 250 horsepower to the Passat's front wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission. That's a good boost in power over the 170 hp of the base 2.5-liter inline-five, but not quite as potent as the 3.6-liter VR6. A lowered sport suspension and revised electronic steering are also on hand, making things slightly more involving out on the road... we assume.
It's not quite the performance concept we were hoping for, but a more enthusiastic Passat isn't necessarily a bad thing. Scroll down for the press release.
Cost-cutting measures put VW Beetle in jeopardy
Tue, Mar 10 2015Volkswagen is on a mission to cut costs. That means producing more models across its various brands based on the same platforms and powertrains, but the latest word from Germany has it that it will also mean cutting some of the VW brand's less successful models. First on the chopping block, according to German publication Der Spiegel, is the three-door version of the Polo, which will reportedly cede its place to the five-door version exclusively. The elimination of that model alone is said to save VW a good 200 million euros, putting it on its way towards reducing the brand's costs by a targeted five billion euros. The Polo isn't the only one in danger, though. The Eos, as we know, is not due to be replaced, but the future of the Beetle could be in jeopardy as well. The Beetle may be one of VW's most iconic models, but is hardly its most successful in terms of sales. With the 2014 annual report due to be released shortly, the last full-year sales figures had Volkswagen selling 109,517 Beetles in 2013. That may be more than four times the number of Scirocco models it sold, but hardly puts a dent in the 871,413 Jettas, 824,629 Golfs and 725,291 Polos it sold during the same year.
Volkswagen Golf GTD Variant burns the oil long and fast
Wed, Mar 4 2015Volkswagen offers no shortage of variations on the Golf theme in America, from the base hatchback and the electric e-Golf to the sporty GTI and performance-oriented Golf R. But as many as are available Stateside, there are even more that never make it here. Like the one you see above. It's called the Volkswagen Golf GTD Variant. It's based on what we'd know as the new Golf SportWagen, which is just arriving in the US now, but this one packs the performance upgrades from the Golf GTD. Isn't that a typo? Don't we mean GTI? No, we don't: we mean GTD. Because in Europe, you can get what is essentially a GTI with a diesel, complete with all (or at least most) of the gear you'd find in the petrol hot hatch, only with a 2.0-liter turbodiesel inline-four packing 181 horsepower and 280 pound-feet of torque. That may not sound like all that much as far as performance models go, but it's more than we'll be able to get from either the gasoline or diesel versions of the Golf SportWagen back in the States. And that makes us a little jealous, especially with room for the kids, the dog and all their gear in the back. World premiere of the new Golf GTD Variant - The perfect all-round package: sporty, economical, comfortable and spacious - Launch set for Geneva Motor Show Since 1982 Volkswagen's GTD logo has stood for Gran Turismo Diesel, with its promise of sporty yet economical motoring. Now for the first time, the GTD initials grace the Golf Variant, which like the Golf GTD, boasts the 184 PS (135 kW) TDI engine. The new Golf GTD Variant is set for its world premiere at the Geneva Motor Show, and is available to order as of now at a price of 31,975 euros. The Golf GTD Variant* is excellently placed to establish itself as an iconic long-distance cruiser. The 184 PS TDI engine takes the Golf GTD Variant to 100 km/h in just 7.9 seconds with the 2-litre unit delivering a maximum torque of 380 Nm – and yet this sporty Variant car boasts impressive fuel consumption figures of only 4.4 litres per 100 km. The car's sporty character is reflected in its exterior design: along with special GTD bumpers and the honeycomb radiator grille, the Golf GTD Variant also features smoked rear lights and flared sills. The look is completed by 17-inch Curitiba alloys, black roof rails and dual chrome tailpipes.
