This is my 2004 Volkswagen Phaeton W12 420 horsepower AWD sedan. This car is the most luxurious vehicle ever produced by Volkswagen, and it was well over $100,000 new in 2004. This car is built on the same platform as the Bentley Continental, and it also shares the W12 engine with the Bentley.
This is a beautiful, clean, smooth and quiet W12 Phaeton- one of only about 300 W12 Phaetons sold in 2004.
This is the 420HP W12 model, with AWD, heated and cooled front and rear seats, massaging seats, draftless 4-zone ventilation, navigation, adjustable suspension (ride height and shock stiffness), premium audio system with DSP, plus any and every luxury you could imagine on a vehicle.
This car has a very straight, clean body with excellent paint. The car looks beautiful with no damage.
The interior is in beautiful clean condition- the leather, upholstery, carpets and interior panels are clean and in excellent condition. This was a non-smoker's car.
This car has exactly one problem. After 20-30 minutes of driving, the engine coolant will become hot. This is caused by a head gasket allowing exhaust gases into the cooling system. There is no oil in the coolant nor coolant in the oil, and no mechanical damage to the engine. The engine has not been "cooked"- a head gasket needs to be replaced. The engine runs butter-smooth and it runs perfectly. Every single feature and option on the entire car works perfectly and there are no warning lights illuminated. Cosmetically the car is outstanding- the paint and body are clean and superb and in pristine condition with no damage. The interior is very clean and in excellent condition.
This is a clean, great-driving car in gorgeous cosmetic condition. Replace the head gasket and this car will be a dream car at a superb price.
This car is fully operable and driveable. Every option and feature on the car works perfectly- the air conditioning, 270W premium sound system, heated and cooled seats, navigation, etc, etc. This car can be driven reasonable distances with no trouble, and can obviously be driven onto a shipping truck or trailer. For shipping, please call Angels Moving Autos at 530 245 0481. This is a fully operable vehicle.
This car is kept in my warehouse in Willoughby, OH.
Please call me at 440 339 4341 with any questions.

This classic VW bus packs Porsche power
Thu, May 14 2015Appearances can be deceiving. The rolling embodiments of that principal we call "sleeper cars": ordinary-looking vehicles that pack a much bigger punch than you'd get by just looking at them. Take this classic VW bus, for example. Sure, it may have some racing graphics and upgraded rolling stock to tell you this isn't just any old van, but looking at it, you'd still have no idea what lies beneath the surface. That's where you'll find oily bits sourced from Porsches. And not from a 914, either. (That was as much a Volkswagen as it was a Porsche anyway.) No, this vintage 1962 VW T1 "Bulli" van packs the air-cooled, forced-induction flat-six from a 993 Turbo, driving 530 horsepower and 558 pound-feet of torque through the six-speed manual transmission from a 996 GT3 to 18-inch BBS alloys. It's the obsessive six-year project of Swiss customizer Fred Bernhard, who also used carbon fiber to cut the curb weight down to 3,300 pounds. The resulting light sleeper can top out at 143 miles per hour, in a vehicle with the aerodynamic profile of, well, a bus. It's called the T1 Race Taxi and is being showcased by Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles at the GTI-Treffen at Worthersee this year. Short of maybe the Renault Espace F1 concept, we can hardly imagine any other van we'd rather drive around the Nordschleife. Or just to pick up the kids from school.
Jalopnik and Consumer Reports see who can pull off the best snow drift
Fri, Feb 20 2015The weather throughout much of the United States is pretty awful at the moment with some combination of extremely low temperatures, inches of snow and maybe some ice underneath it all. The folks at Jalopnik and Consumer Reports are making the absolute best out of a difficult situation by heading to CR's snow-covered test track and attempting to make the longest drift in a quartet of very different performance vehicles. Jalopnik brought along a Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG S Wagon, a Subaru WRX STI, a BMW 228i and a 1973 Volkswagen Baja Bug (heck yeah!) for the challenge. Also, the track was perfect for this group, with a mix of packed snow in places and still a few inches of unsullied powder in spots too. Ostensibly the goal was to get the tail to step out through a particular corner, but in reality this was more about having hilarious fun in the snow with fast cars. The result just looks like the best time humanly possible in this weather.
Recharge Wrap Up: VW's Last Mile Surfer, Apple's BMW i3
Tue, Jul 28 2015Volkswagen has unveiled its Last Mile Surfer. This little electric scooter – it folds up small enough to fit in the trunk and weighs just 24 pounds – will go on sale next year for around 1,000 euros ($1,100 US), according to VW chairman Martin Winterkorn, as reported by Autocar. Of course, we're wondering why you'd need to pay that much money to avoid walking a mile, but maybe we just haven't walked that far in an interested buyer's shoes. See more at Autocar. Did Apple want to use the BMW i3 as the basis for its own electric car? That's the word from the German magazine Manager, which says that Apple and BMW were talking about using the i3 shell for the plug-in iCar (or whatever) started last fall but are no longer actively taking place, but the two organizations have not totally closed off communication. Read more at Manager or at Green Car Reports. BMW is continuing its efforts to connect your car to your phone in interesting ways with the new EnLighten app. The idea here is to let your phone act as a bridge between alerts about traffic signals and the car, so that notifications can be displayed in the dash instead of on your phone. That should keep more eyes on the road and let drivers minimize those races to the next red light, which will save fuel. At least, it will do so in cities that broadcast that sort of signal information. Read more in the press release below. Traffic City Info Makes Driving in Cities Easier than Ever Woodcliff Lake, N.J. – July 27, 2015... The BMW Group announced today that it is the first manufacturer to bring the EnLighten App, by Connected Signals, into the car. Drivers of BMW Vehicles with iOS Devices will be able to see traffic signal data on the vehicle's display in real time. The EnLighten app makes driving in cities easier by helping the driver anticipate traffic signal changes, which can increase safety and help save fuel by avoiding unnecessary acceleration. The EnLighten app shows the current status of the traffic light in front of the car in real time as well as a countdown to when the signal will change. Based on the current vehicle position, as well as its speed, the EnLighten app offers a recommendation about whether or not to stop for the traffic light or proceed through. An audio alert notifies the driver about a pending change in the signal they are approaching.
