We understand that buying a vehicle online can sometimes leave you un-easy. We are aware that there are other dealers online that do not fully describe the vehicles listed. They might leave important information out, or not have a thorough description of that item.

Our goal is simple. We aim to be honest and fair with all of our deals. Word of mouth and return business is something we take very serious! We achieve this by providing you with all of the information YOU need to make a comfortable decision, and hopefully proceeding to your investment, a vehicle! We strive for A+ satisfaction. We do not want to waste anyone’s time, and definitely don’t want to mislead you. This is why we inform you of EVERYTHING we know, and provide you with detailed descriptions and conditions of the item for sale.

Up for NO RESERVE is a 2006 Volkswagen Passat Value Edition! This is a great sedan known for safety and reliability; also this German 2.0 Turbo can receive 32 MPH Highway and 23 city! THE HIGHEST BID WINS THE VEHICLE!

CARFAX appraises this vehicle $1120 over retail value! KBB.com appraises this vehicle for just over $6,000. This Maryland 1 owner vehicle has been serviced very well and no damage/accidents are recorded. Truly this particular Passat is worth over $7,000!

INTERIOR: The seats and upholstery are all in great shape, the whole vehicle looks barely used. The black leather all looks great. The radio sounds great with no blown speakers. On the driver side door there is a small, clean tear about an inch wide at the top. Everything seems to be in working order, there is some wear on some buttons and contact points. For some reason this is very common for all Volkswagens. The heat works great along with the hot heated seats. The sunroof works great also. The A/C blows hard and cold.

EXTERIOR: The body is in great shape. As you can see in the pictures, there are no major dents or dings. The protective top coat is still very smooth with no fading. The tires have a lot of tread left on them and will not need replacing anytime soon. I did not see any rust on the vehicle.

MOTOR/HANDLING: The key is really neat! The Passat starts right up with no issues and idles with no smoke or sounds, the turbo is quiet. The gears shift smooth and the acceleration is just how a turbo engine should be. The brakes feel good with no grinding or wobble. The check engine light is on and so is the airbag light, we do not know why. There was also a low tire pressure light on; the tires were low when taking the pictures. This vehicle runs and drives like any 06 Passat should.  The suspension is quiet and the powered steering is very smooth.

All in all, this is a great vehicle for anyone. If you need a second car, or if you need something safe and efficient for your first time driver, we got you covered! Don’t pass this opportunity trying to find a better deal, its right in front of you! There are hundreds of people looking for the same thing you are. I am accepting all reasonable offers, just message me. Thank you for looking, GOOD LUCK!

Recharge Wrap-up: Jaguar Land Rover talks EVs, Batteries should be modular

Wed, Sep 3 2014

A new study out of Germany suggests adopting a modular approach to battery offerings in plug-in hybrid and extended range electric vehicles. Automakers could offer the same car with different battery sizes (and different costs, accordingly) to drivers depending on their driving ranges. This would optimize the total cost of ownership for various drivers better than the current approach. Developing a modular battery design and offering appropriate batteries for different customers "is the key for electric powertrains to meet customer expectations and become cost competitive against conventional technologies," according to the report from the Institute of Vehicle Concepts, German Aerospace Center. Learn more at Green Car Congress. Jaguar and Land Rover are looking to offer more electric driving from their vehicles. Wolfgang Ziebart, head of product development for Jaguar Land Rover, said in an interview that its hybrid system is being tweaked for more electric power and "downsized" combustion. He also said the likely target market for EVs would be second and third vehicles, rather than primary vehicles for urban driving. Within that market, Europeans look for something smaller, while American drivers lean toward larger luxury vehicles for their second car. Ziebart uses the Tesla Model S as an example of American tastes, and compares its size to that of the Jaguar XJ. Read more at Automotive News Europe. Thailand will likely approve a Volkswagen factory as early as next week. A German newspaper suggests that Thailand's Board of Investment is set to greenlight the plant, which is planned for a site near the Port of Bangkok. Thailand is a relatively large and growing auto manufacturing country, which seeks to be a major producer of eco-friendly vehicles. The country's "Eco2" program would provide incentives to Volkswagen if it builds clean cars and meets certain production targets. Read more at Reuters. Formula E has chosen Sky Deutschland for broadcasting rights in the German market. The deal includes television rights, as well as online broadcasting. Sky Deutschland has 3.8 million subscribers in Germany and Austria. Showing the races on Germany's largest pay television provider should help generate interest for the series, particularly the Berlin ePrix - the inaugural season's penultimate race - scheduled for May 30, 2015. Tesla tires turning on Stretchla Vanagon EV conversion project

Tue, Jan 7 2014

It is one thing to say you are going to Frankenstein a Tesla Model S with a pair of Siamese-twinned Volkswagen Vanagons and quite another to actually start taking your newly-acquired, smashed-up electric sedan apart in an effort to bring it back to life. Otmar Ebenhoech is doing just that, and having no small successes along the way. The Stretchla project, as it is being called, has officially started and our protagonist has put together another bit of video to document his progress and let us know about some of the different challenges he's encountered and conquered. While our original post about this endeavor featured video of the stretched Vanagon's drivetrain removal, this latest installment focuses on the Model S. Otmar received the Tesla in less-than-operable condition. Otmar received the Tesla in less-than-operable condition and has been tackling some of the basic problems one might expect to encounter: lots of error messages and an electrically disconnected battery pack. Without the aid of a manual or technical diagrams, he's removed the battery pack and discovered why it wasn't sending power to the car. Scroll below to watch the ten-minute presentation and celebrate some initial victories. You can also check out the official Stretchla blog for more photos and updates, including the most recent one that discusses how he talked himself into paying (*spoiler alert) $42,000 for a wrecked, non-functional electric car, along with more recent struggles with the steering rack. Hit us up in the comments to let us know what kind of trouble you would get into with a Model S drivetrain of your own. This content is hosted by a third party. Rising aluminum costs cut into Ford's profit

Wed, Jan 24 2018

When Ford reports fourth-quarter results on Wednesday afternoon, it is expected to fret that rising metals costs have cut into profits, even as rivals say they have the problem under control. Aluminum prices have risen 20 percent in the last year and nearly 11 percent since Dec. 11. Steel prices have risen just over 9 percent in the last year. Ford uses more aluminum in its vehicles than its rivals. Aluminum is lighter but far more expensive than steel, closing at $2,229 per tonne on Tuesday. U.S. steel futures closed at $677 per ton (0.91 metric tonnes). Republican U.S. President Donald Trump's administration is weighing whether to impose tariffs on imported steel and aluminum, which could push prices even higher. Ford gave a disappointing earnings estimate for 2017 and 2018 last week, saying the higher costs for steel, aluminum and other metals, as well as currency volatility, could cost the company $1.6 billion in 2018. Ford shares took a dive after the announcement. Ford Chief Financial Officer Bob Shanks told analysts at a conference in Detroit last week that while the company benefited from low commodity prices in 2016, rising steel prices were now the main cause of higher costs, followed by aluminum. Shanks said the automaker at times relies on foreign currencies as a "natural hedge" for some commodities but those are now going in the opposite direction, so they are not working. A Ford spokesman added that the automaker also uses a mix of contracts, hedges and indexed buying. Industry analysts point to the spike in aluminum versus steel prices as a plausible reason for Ford's problems, especially since it uses far more of the expensive metal than other major automakers. "When you look at Ford in the context of the other automakers, aluminum drives a lot of their volume and I think that is the cause" of their rising costs, said Jeff Schuster, senior vice president of forecasting at auto consultancy LMC Automotive. Other major automakers say rising commodity costs are not much of a problem. At last week's Detroit auto show, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV's Chief Executive Officer Sergio Marchionne reiterated its earnings guidance for 2018 and held forth on a number of topics, but did not mention metals prices. General Motors Co gave a well-received profit outlook last week and did not mention the subject. "We view changes in raw material costs as something that is manageable," a GM spokesman said in an email.
