2002 Volkswagen Passat W8 4motion blue sedan 166710 miles slightly damaged 275HP somebody backed to the front of my car. radiator, hood, front bumper, front mask (top and bottom)were damaged and will need to be replaced. Please consider the fact that I'm not a mechanic. Check engine light, ABS check light and brakes chceck light is on (not cause of the accident). I drove the care with all three check lights on for about 1 month. it does not affect driving at all. I was told that all three check lights are on because the ABS control module is not working properly and needs to be change. also has a tear on the back seat. other then that is car in good condition. ENGINE RUNS STRONG. CAR SOUNDS GREAT. CAR HAS A NEW FRONT AXELS AND FRONT TIRES (CHANGED JUST ONE WEAK BEFORE THE ACCIDENT). SINCE THE RADIATOR DOES NOT WORK CAR CAN'T BE DRIVEN. VW debuts Get Happy Super Bowl ad

Brace yourself for another tidal wave of Super Bowl commercials. Volkswagen has released its spot for this year's big game. Set to air during the second quarter, the Get Happy spot follows one jubilant office worker as he makes his way through the day, spreading joy wherever he goes. The source of his happiness? A Volkswagen Beetle, of course. Now, if you're wondering why a gaggle of white guys are running around on your screen with Jamaican accents, it will help to know the spot is part of a larger Get Happy campaign featuring Jimmy Cliff.
The first ad in the series featured the artist singing his rendition of "C'Mon, Get Happy," complete with a little help from some notorious unhappy YouTube stars. You can take a look at the new ad before it airs below, along with the complete press release for a little more background.
Porsche 911 with VW turbodiesel prepares for LeMons assault
Fri, 21 Mar 2014LeMons racing is a wonderful example that setting limits can actually breed creativity. The series mandates that all entries must cost $500, not counting safety equipment, and that cap forces teams to be ingenious in how they build a racecar. Take for example this diesel-powered Porsche 911, which its creators have dubbed Ferkel the Nein-11, that will be racing in the Sears Pointless race this weekend in Sonoma, California.
This Frankenstein combines a 911 chassis that was originally bought just for its European powertrain and a Volkswagen TDI diesel engine mounted in the rear. After deciding the shell could still be of some use, the team decided to go racing. "We began brainstorming what replacement drivetrain to use for maximum offense and there was really only one answer: a diesel," said Philipp von Weitershausen, one of the team captains, to Jalopnik. They bought a 1998 Jetta TDI on the cheap and started figuring out a way to hack the engine into the bay. To pay respect to the donor, the VW's trunk was highly modified (and drilled) and grafted onto the back of Ferkel.
This team isn't a newcomer to LeMons. Its last car was a classic VW Beetle with a Subaru engine and dual controls, named Ferdinand the Bug, which could be driven from the left or right side. It's quite a sight.
