2012 VW Jetta TDI with 38,XXX miles. Dealer maintained every 10k miles as recommended by VW. This is my daily driver and the miles will be increasing some.

Green title, no accidents, garage kept, non-smoker. There is a lien/loan on title, so the easiest way to complete this transaction would be at a Chase Bank - who is the lien holder.

Key Features - Black Leatherette interior, Touchscreen Navigation system/DVD (has a built in hard drive), Fender premium sound system, Keyless access w/ push-button start, heated seats, fog lights, heated power mirrors...5 year/60k mile powertrain warranty still in effect

This VW Diesel is rated at 30/42 MPG, but people routinely get better gas mileage out of their TDIs. On a couple long trips to Chicago, I've been close to getting 700 miles on 1 tank of gas. The norm is probably around 550 with a decent amount of highway miles, but if you're driving mostly city it would probably be closer to 450 per tank.  It's not uncommon for people to get up to 50-60 MPG with these TDIs

Extras

Standard Navigation system is the RNS-315, I have upgraded to the RNS-510. The 510 has a 6.5" touchscreen and better resolution, compared to the 315 with a 5" screen. This new radio cost around $2k and was professionally installed. This is not factored in the sticker price (see photo).

Extra set of (4) VW mats - original mats were used once when the vehicle was driven home from the dealer, only used TDI Monster Mats after that.

Extra set of (4) rims/tires - Volkswagen Karthoum 18" Wheels (black). Tires have about 14k miles on them. Current wheels on the car are standard 16" alloy with all season tires with about 24k miles on them. Both sets have significant amount of tread left. The 18" wheels and tires new cost is over $2k. This is not on the sticker price and I do have the receipt if needed. (the only picture I have with the black rims was from when I originally purchased the Jetta, which I've included)

Transferable wheel/tire warranty 5 years from purchase which cost was $599. Purchase date was 9/29/11, so that puts the expiration date at 9/29/16. I believe the transfer fee is $40 dollars to NSD.

Windows were tinted at the dealer at the time of purchase.

The window sticker does reflect the option for Front/Rear Valance and side sill extensions. This is the ground effects body kit that was installed at factory, special ordered. If you're going to KBB to get a value, this is not an option or factored in. As you can see from the window sticker photo, this option cost $1950.

Negatives - The rear passenger door has 2 minor marks, I'd say they are slightly larger than a pin head from what I think was someone hitting it with a shopping cart. The Karthoum wheels do have a little curb rash (2), one a little more than the other - not too noticeable. I will provide some pictures of these items upon request.

Contact Craig @ (two-four-eight) EIGHT 54..6228. Serious inquiries only please. These TDIs go for every bit of blue book value, so there isn't much room for negotiation.

Volkswagen Cross Up! headed for production after Geneva reveal

Wed, 13 Feb 2013

The last time we saw the Volkswagen Cross Up!, it was sitting out in the snow in prototype form, but the next time we'll see this slightly more rugged version of the diminutive Up! hatchback will be when it makes its production debut at the Geneva Motor Show next month. Looking like a micro-crossover with its raised ground clearance and black cladding, the Cross Up! will be the fourth "Cross" model for VW (after the CrossPolo, CrossGolf and CrossTouran) when it goes on sale this summer in mainland Europe (UK sales remain up in the air and US sales are highly unlikely).
Overall, the styling of the production Cross Up! has stayed fairly true to the 2011 concept car, including the front and rear fascias that offer a more rugged look, stocky 16-inch wheels and roof rack side rails. Inside, this model will get unique interior enhancements such as "Cross Up!" sill plates and an instrument panel available in red, black or silver. Like the regular Up!, the Cross Up! is powered by a 74-horsepower, 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine paired to a five-speed manual transmission, and it doesn't look like all-wheel drive will be part of the picture. For more details on the upcoming Cross Up!, check out VW's press release posted below.

2014 Volkswagen Beetle GSR is black and yellow, black and yellow

Thu, 07 Feb 2013

Way back in 1973, Volkswagen decided it was high time to take the loveable air-cooled Bug racing. No, it wasn't painted in Herbie colors - Volkswagen called its sport-tuned machine the Beetle GSR, "Gelb Schwarzer Renner" or "Yellow Black Racer." Hence, the somewhat shocking paint scheme.
VW is bringing its sporty black and yellow Beetle back for 2014, and you can see live photos of it above. It's got a 210-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine under the hood (that'd be the hood up front, unlike the car's forebear), and a six-speed manual or DSG automatic transmission sends those ponies to the front wheels. Note that this car's output is up 10 horses on other turbo VWs, and the Jetta GLI and Beetle Turbo for 2013. The 0-60 run takes 6.6 seconds, and top speed is limited to 130 miles per hour.
Besides the in-your-face black and yellow paint, the GSR is outfitted with a large rear spoiler and 19-inch wheels shod with 235/40 tires. The bee-like hue carries over inside, with yellow stitching on black leather. Only 3,500 will be produced, each with its own unique plaque. Pricing has not yet been announced, but you're free to read through the press release below all the same.

Volkswagen adding R-Line trim to Touareg, Tiguan for 2014

Fri, 11 Jan 2013

Volkswagen introduced its aggressive R-Line appearance package on the CC and Beetle last year, but later this year, this treatment will also be applied to VW's crossovers, the Tiguan and Touareg. Both sporty-looking utility vehicles will be unveiled next week at the Detroit Auto Show.
The 2014 Tiguan R-Line comes standard with bi-xenon headlights and LED daytime running lights, and the package adds 19-inch wheels, grey fender extensions, body-color side skirts and a liftgate spoiler. Inside, the R-Line adds a flat-bottom sport steering wheel with paddle shifters, a black headliner and numerous metallic trim accents such as the stainless scuff plates, the aluminum pedals and metallic finish on the instrument and door panels. The Tiguan R-Line will be offered in front- and all-wheel drive configurations.
As for the 2014 Touareg R-Line (shown above), this model gets an ever more distinctive look with an aggressive front fascia, 20-inch wheels and dual oval-shaped exhaust outlets in addition to the painted side skirts and LED taillights. Similar metallic interior trim pieces found inside the Tiguan R-Line will also make their way into the Touareg as well as gloss black accents on the instrument panel and center stack.
