I had purchased this vehicle on Ebay from alezaku (Dan Baraniecki from Hillsborough, NJ) on 09/13 with the intent of repairing
it for personal use. I will not be repairing it because I bought myself
another vehicle and do not need it anymore. This car is a great deal for
a car dealer or consumer. Furthermore, it comes with a free replacement hood, front bumper and dashboard that are worth $750.
The
vehicle is being relisted on Ebay with its original description. I have

with 18,008 miles. The car runs but does not drive and sustained
damage to the front of the vehicle. The car comes with a hood, front bumper and dashboard. The car is being
sold as is with a salvage title. All of our cars are sold as is damaged. A lot of the wrecked vehicles we sell are crashed but still assembled, there are a lot of components that might be damaged that we cannot see. We start all vehicles, see if they can drive and we specify if you can drive them home according to our lot drive. We do our best to specify which parts are damaged and if the vehicle has frame or structural damage. Volkswagen and Funny or Die take humorous spin in 2015 Golf
Wed, 10 Sep 2014Volkswagen is partnering with Target and Funny or Die in a bizarre ad for the latest Golf starring comedian Rob Huebel, probably best known for his work on Childrens Hospital on Adult Swim.
The commercial is titled The Way Too Helpful Neighbor and stars Huebel as the eponymous neighbor. The challenge is for Huebel to help improve his buddy's apartment before the guy meets his girlfriend's parents for the first time. The obvious way to do that is to slide a new Golf through an actual Target in Texas, while simultaneously showcasing the store's goods and the car's features.
The commercial is airing online now and on TBS during breaks in Conan O'Brien's show, with sneak peaks during other programs on the network. Auto advertising is becoming pretty normal for Funny or Die at this point, though, with the site previously partnering with Fiat for several videos. Volkswagen Golf voted 2013 European Car of the Year
Tue, 05 Mar 2013The seventh-generation Volkswagen Golf just went on sale in Europe, but it is already off to a promising start. Announced as the Geneva Motor Show kicked off, the newest Golf was named European Car of the Year for 2013 in dominating style over cars like the Subaru BRZ/Toyota GT86 twins, Volvo V40, Ford B-Max and Mercedes-Benz A-Class.
According to Automotive News Europe, the MkVII Golf won handily over its rivals with a total of 414 votes. The Subaru BRZ and Toyota GT86 received 202 votes finishing in a distant second, while the Volvo V40 (189 votes), Ford B-Max (148 votes) and Mercedes-Benz A-Class (138 votes) round out the top five. The new Golf marks the third Volkswagen product to receive the prestigious award with previous cars including the MkIII Golf and the most recent iteration of the Polo.
VW recalling 38k Jettas, Passats, Golfs and Beetles for fuel leak
Wed, Dec 31 2014Earlier we reported on a recall issued for the 2015 VW Jetta regarding a problem with the headlights, and now Volkswagen and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration have issued another recall for a separate issue affecting not only the Jetta, but several other models as well. The issue revolves around a sealing cap in the fuel rail, which could leak fuel into the engine compartment and potentially cause a fire. The problem affects an estimated 37,979 vehicles in the United States, including the 2014-15 Jetta (manufactured between March 28 and November 24, 2014), the 2014-15 Passat (April 7 to November 18), the 2015 Golf and GTI (July 1 to November 20) and the 2014-15 Beetle and Beetle Convertible (March 31 to November 27). That covers pretty much the entire range offered by Volkswagen of America, short of the Tiguan and Touareg crossovers (and the discontinued Eos convertible). Considering, though, that VW routinely sells around 30,000 vehicles in the US each month, the small number of vehicles being recalled (relative to the quantity out there) tells you this recall really only affects a specific cross-section of models. Owners of the affected vehicles can expect to be contacted by their dealers to have the fuel rails replaced.
