This is a wonderful vehicle~ low miles, great fuel economy, manual transmission, and is very enjoyable to drive!  I am the only owner and have owned this car for over 2 years.  I range 30mpg (heavy city driving) and at least 44 hwy.  Interior is cornsilk beige with black trim.  Panoramic sunroof makes for a bright and airy feel to the interior.  The 60/40 split rear seats are very accommodating for moving large items.  This car has been in one minor accident; front end (cosmetic damage), about 8 months ago.  I have receipts and lifetime warranty on the repair work done and the car looks beautiful; no signs of any work done.  There is a small scratch on rear bumper, I included in pics, I have taken this into consideration with my pricing as well.  Whoever owns this car will love it; if we didn't have to downsize, I would never consider selling it.

Model Overview
The Volkswagen Jetta sedan comes in five different trim levels for 2010: S, SE, SEL Wolfsburg and TDI. The S and SE and SEL are powered by a 170-horsepower, 2.5L 5-cylinder engine, matched with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or with a 6-speed automatic transmission with Tiptronic and sport mode. The SportWagen loses the SEL package for 2010, but can still be had in S, SE and TDI versions. The Wolfsburg is a special edition that gets its power from a 2.0L turbocharged 4-cylinder engine making 200 horsepower and 207 ft-lb of torque. It features special badging, premium wheels and a sport-tuned suspension and can be equipped with either a 6-speed manual or the 6-speed automatic transmission.Jetta TDIs are available in both the sedan and the wagon. A 2.0L direct-injected turbodiesel produces 140 hp and 236 ft-lb of torque and can be mated to either the 6-speed manual or the 6-speed automatic transmissions. The EPA rates the Jetta TDI at 30 mpg city and 41 mpg highway. The SportWagen boasts a surprising amount of cargo space. With the back seat up, there's 32.8 cubic feet of space, but with it folded forward the cargo area expands to nearly 67 cubic feet. An optional fold-flat front passenger seat provides additional cargo space and an optional panoramic sunroof adds a substantial amount of ambient light. On both the Jetta sedans and SportWagens, front thorax-protecting side airbags are standard, along with full-length side-curtain bags. Side thorax bags for rear occupants are optional. All Jettas also include anti-lock brakes with engine braking assist and an electronic differential lock for improved traction. Volkswagen's electronic stabilization program (ESP) is now standard across the line.A Jetta TDI Cup Street Edition will be available late in the model year and will feature unique exterior styling and interior trim, sport seats and 18-inch wheels. All Jettas come with air conditioning, cruise control, a CD sound system, 8-way adjustable front seats, power windows and heated mirrors and tilt/telescopic steering standard. The SE adds a leather steering wheel and shifter, power sunroof, 10-speaker stereo with 6-disc CD changer, a 60/40 split folding rear seat and alloy wheels. The SEL adds 17-inch wheels, body-colored valences and a special instrument cluster. TDI models are outfitted as a mix between S, SE and SEL trims.Popular options include a navigation system and various sport styling kits that give the Jetta a high-performance look

North American production of foreign marques to jump in 2014

Sun, 23 Dec 2012

Wards Auto has released its North American Light Vehicle Production Forecast for 2014, and the report predicts foreign manufacturers will increase production on the continent some 3.9 percent by 2014. If accurate, that should see 123,000 additional cars, trucks and vans produced in North America, swelling the total number of units produced both by domestic and foreign manufacturers to 16.9 million light vehicles from a projected 15.6 million in 2013. Much of the increase can be attributed to the fact that Toyota intends to produce another car at its Blue Springs, MS plant as well as a new Lexus model at its Georgetown, KY facility in a year's time.
Likewise, Volkswagen intends to move production of a currently imported model to its plant in Puebla, Mexico. Daimler, Honda, Nissan and Mazda also plan to build additional models on North American soil for the first time. Around two-thirds of the new North American manufacturing will take place in Mexico, helping the country soak up a full 20 percent of the content's automotive production for the first time. You can head over to the Wards Auto site for the full report.

Volkswagen iBeetle gets integrated iPhone dock, little else

Fri, 19 Apr 2013

Apple fans have been itching to see the tech giant flex the full muscle of its iOS operating system in an automotive infotainment system for years, which is why we turned all sorts of excited when we caught wind of the Volkswagen iBeetle. The machine is headed to the Shanghai Motor Show for a debut, and VW promised it would be one of the "first cars in the world to have a genuine integrative interface for the iPhone that was coordinated with Apple." Listen closely, and you can hear the contented sigh of a million wallets opening.
Go ahead and close those up, kids.
In reality, the iBeetle offers little more than a dash-mounted dock and a special app that shows a few vehicle functions, which is about as far from an infotainment revolution as you're likely to find. In fact, the setup is little more than a factory rehash of aftermarket items, and hardly worth a whole model debut at an international motor show. And that's to say nothing of the fact that Apple relishes in changing the shape and form of its darling handheld at every generation. Volkswagen better be prepared to keep pace with appropriate docking mechanisms for the upcoming iPhone 5S, 6, 6S, et al.

Volkswagen drops "GTi" lawsuit against Suzuki

Tue, 02 Oct 2012

Way back in 2004, Volkswagen took umbrage with Suzuki being granted permission to use the nameplate "SWIFT GTi" for a performance variant of its small-car offering (2012 equivalent seen here). Now, eight years and surely some very steep legal bills later, VW has finally dropped its claim against Suzuki.
The General Court of the European Union stated, back in March of this year, that Suzuki's GTi registration could not be confused with VW's "Golf GTI." Volkswagen had appealed that ruling, though has now reportedly called off the dogs. In fact, Germany's Die Welt reports that the appeal has been dead for several weeks now.
This news comes amongst continued arbitration acrimony between the two automakers, all revolving around VW's forced divestiture of nearly 20-percent stake it purchased in Suzuki some two years ago.
