I am selling an Amazing 2009 VW Jetta TDI Wagon with 31k Original Miles. Car is Automatic (DSG).

This car has just gone through a full tune up/checkup and has had major work done by the dealership. Have paperwork to prove everything.

Car is just a pleasure to drive, but I am upgrading to a Toureg TDI in July.

This car was involved in an accident in 2009 and that's why the title isn't clean. But it was beautifully rebuilt and is in tip-top shape now.

The gas mileage it gets is amazing to, 42-45 MPG on highway and 38-40 MPG in the city.

Here are some of the features of the car: 2.0L Diesel I4 MPI Engine, Automatic Transmission, Heated Front Seats, Leather Steering Wheel Trim, Cruise Control, Audio Steering Wheel Controls, AM/FM/CD/DVD Audio System, Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Power Exterior Mirrors, 17 Inch Alloy Wheels and more

Car also has Ipod Integration as well as an Aux Input. It really is fully loaded except for Sunroof and Nav.

I just changed at the Dealer - Everything OEM (1 year warranty from around March 2013):

  • Diesel Particle Filter (DPF Filter)
  • EGR Valve
  • 2 Cooling Fans + Bracket
  • Radiator
  • High Pressure AC line

I also decided to upgrade a few parts:

  • Original RCD-510 Radio Touchscreen
  • Brand New Audi/VW 17" Rims (5)
  • Brand New Firestone Champion Tires (5) with Road Hazard Insurance.
  • LED Lighting throughout the Car
  • Brand New Original Rubber + Carpet Floor Mats
  • Brand New Cargo Liner Rubber and Carpet with Blocks

Please read the ad carefully, look at the pictures, and then email any serious questions you may have - I’ll answer promptly. The reserve price will not be revealed but is based on the mileage adjusted KBB private party value. Bid only what you are willing and able to pay. Serious bidders only, please.

Note: I am not a dealer, just a ‘car guy’ – you pay no dealer fees or taxes here, and I will not try to sell you an extended warranty!

Winning bidder to pay $500 non-refundable down payment within 24 hours and balance within 5 days. I prefer Paypal or bank wire transfer. Cashiers check or cash for balance only if pre-arranged with seller. Buyer to contact seller at the end of the auction.

I reserve the right to end the auction early.

Please email me at russkimiami@gmail.com or call me at 786-999-4848. If you are in the Miami area, you can come by and take it for a test drive.

Thanks for looking!

Volkswagen Golf R wagon promises to be fast and functional [w/poll]

Tue, 25 Mar 2014

Volkswagen's array of performance-oriented Golfs keeps getting bigger and bigger. What started with the GTI has since grown to include the diesel GTD, the hybrid GTE and the most powerful Golf R. But the additions haven't all come down to powertain. There's been cabrio versions of the GTI and Golf R as well, but before all is said and done, there will be one more bodystyle to join the lineup.
That, according to these latest spy shots, would be the Golf R Variant. For those unfamiliar, Variant is what Volkswagen calls the wagon version of the Golf (in some markets, anyway). It offers the Golf Variant with a variety of engines, but as the spy shots reveal, it is now working on bringing the Golf Variant and the Golf R together into one high-powered, long-roofed model.
The VW Golf R Variant would in all likelihood pack the same 2.0-liter turbo four as the hatchback, splitting 290 horsepower between all four wheels. Only in the wagon, it would offer that extra bit of utility. Of course there's no guarantee that Volkswagen would offer the Golf R Variant in the North American market, but considering that the Golf R hatchback will soon be joined in American showrooms by the Golf SpotWagen (as it's tipped to be called here) in place for the Jetta wagon, the possibility is definitely there.

Meet ZelectricBug, the amazing '63 VW Bug converted to EV power

Thu, Feb 27 2014

No word a lie, we here at AutoblogGreen are fans of classic cars. What we are not fond of, however, is the pollution that their inefficient engines create, and so it's great to see our old favorites lovingly up-cycled with electric drivetrains. The ZelectricBug is a beautiful example of how new, cleaner life can be breathed into an old Volkswagen Beetle. Now, we first came across this particular automobile during the Refuel event last summer and we were struck by its cleanly done conversion then. Aside from a few snaps in our gallery, though, we didn't give it the kind of attention it deserves. Fortunately, the good folks over at Roads and Rides have rectified this by turning their pro video camera skills onto the 1963 V-Dub and producing a nice little segment to accompany their write up. Scroll below to see the finished footage and head over to their website for some stills. If all this gives you a hankering for your own Zelectric, the company does have plans to sell to the public starting this summer. If you don't want to wait, EV West, the guys who did the drivetrain work on this car, have conversion kits available for Beetles, as well as a number of other vehicles. Lamborghini and Bentley may hold off on SUVs so VW can conserve cash

Thu, 11 Oct 2012

After surveying the European economic scene, Volkswagen may have decided now is not the time to launch utility vehicles with Bentley and Lamborghini badges. Bentley officials say they will continue to push for support for the EXP 9 F and Lamborghini CEO Stephan Winkelman has said planning for the Urus will continue until VW tells it to stop.
That decision could come on November 23, when VW's board will vote on the company's budget for equipment, factories and vehicles. With VW's sales slowing and the Euro economy slumping further, some industry watchers say the company is more likely to build its cash reserves than to introduce super-expensive luxury SUVs or crossovers.
"Such vehicles are anything but obligatory during a crisis," says Frankfurt-based Equinet AG analyst Tim Schuldt in a new Automotive News Europe story. "Delaying their launch would be no drama but help save costs."
