2004 VW Jetta GL Tdi, I recently purchased this vehicle from the local kia
dealer that I wholesale from please read the entire description as I will best
describe the car to the best of my knowledge. The exterior of the car is in fairly good shape although it
can be told it was a commuter vehicle because it does have multiple scratches,
dings and blemishes. The vehicle can use a good detail and will look a lot sharper.
There are a few deep scratches in some areas that will need touch up. The passenger
fender does have a rust bubble on the edge. The interior is in good shape but will definitely need a
clean up. The previous owner was a smoker and there are a few bud burns on the
drivers seat. There are winter mats in the vehicle that kept the carpet in very
good shape. I purchased this vehicle NOT RUNNING from the kia dealer
although they claim it was traded in running. I have replaced new the intank
fuel pump, crank position sensor (from vw) , throttle body and the vehicle
still does not start! The vehicle cranks perfectly fine with good power but
will not fire up. I also had the timing belt checked and the mechanic says it
looks fairly new. I have put a few hundred dollars in to the vehicle and I have
decided to call it quits and put it up for sale hoping it goes to someone with
a little better knowledge. Please note I have never driven this vehicle or
heard the motor on. Clean title. Clean autocheck. Good tires. This vehicle is being sold with a no reserve auction the
highest bidder will own it. Please bid accordingly and please be sure that your
finances are in good standings to complete this transaction. This vehicle is being sold AS IS AND WILL NEED TO BE TOWED

Here are a few of our automotive guilty pleasures
Tue, Jun 23 2020It goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway. The world is full of cars, and just about as many of them are bad as are good. It's pretty easy to pick which fall into each category after giving them a thorough walkaround and, more important, driving them. But every once in a while, an automobile straddles the line somehow between good and bad — it may be hideously overpriced and therefore a marketplace failure, it may be stupid quick in a straight line but handles like a drunken noodle, or it may have an interior that looks like it was made of a mess of injection-molded Legos. Heck, maybe all three. Yet there's something special about some bad cars that actually makes them likable. The idea for this list came to me while I was browsing classified ads for cars within a few hundred miles of my house. I ran across a few oddballs and shared them with the rest of the team in our online chat room. It turns out several of us have a few automotive guilty pleasures that we're willing to admit to. We'll call a few of 'em out here. Feel free to share some of your own in the comments below. Dodge Neon SRT4 and Caliber SRT4: The Neon was a passably good and plucky little city car when it debuted for the 1995 model year. The Caliber, which replaced the aging Neon and sought to replace its friendly marketing campaign with something more sinister, was panned from the very outset for its cheap interior furnishings, but at least offered some decent utility with its hatchback shape. What the two little front-wheel-drive Dodge models have in common are their rip-roarin' SRT variants, each powered by turbocharged 2.4-liter four-cylinder engines. Known for their propensity to light up their front tires under hard acceleration, the duo were legitimately quick and fun to drive with a fantastic turbo whoosh that called to mind the early days of turbo technology. — Consumer Editor Jeremy Korzeniewski Chevrolet HHR SS: Chevy's HHR SS came out early in my automotive journalism career, and I have fond memories of the press launch (and having dinner with Bob Lutz) that included plenty of tire-smoking hard launches and demonstrations of the manual transmission's no-lift shift feature. The 260-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder was and still is a spunky little engine that makes the retro-inspired HHR a fun little hot rod that works quite well as a fun little daily driver.

Autoblog Podcast #327:
Hyundai tops VW and Buick in China, survey says
Wed, Apr 15 2015You may be aware of the long-time competition in China between Volkswagen and Buick, but another brand apparently should be in that conversation too: Hyundai. In a recently published annual consumer survey, the Korean company actually took the top spot to beat out its German and American rivals in second and third, respectively. The results were part of the China Brand Power Index that interviewed 11,500 people around the nation and was paid for by the country's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. While Hyundai proved popular with voters, its sales haven't necessarily shown that yet. According to Bloomberg, the brand had falling numbers in China for the first quarter of the year. Even Ford outsold the South Korean automaker in the same period, despite scoring lower on the survey. Meanwhile, Audi ranked as the populace's favorite luxury brand, which is hardly a surprise given the Four Rings' strong sales in China. In January alone the automaker saw a 15-percent boost in volume there. Parent company VW's strong performance was somewhat more surprising, though. State media severely criticized the German automaker in March, and customers protested last year for the allegedly poor handling of a recall.
