This is the black, turbo 5-speed Jetta you have been looking for. My first car was a Jetta and this was my brother's first car. This Jetta was originally bought by my younger brother when he was in school in California it is now a South Florida car. We have the clear Florida title in hand - no liens. This car has served him well but he is getting older and has a family now so just got a Passat Wolfsburg to replace this. This car needs some very minor attention to some minor appearance issues from age (interior needs really cleaned, some wear on interior, headliner needs regaled in one spot - see pictures) but is very mechanically sound and really a great fun to drive car for a young person or anyone who wants something cheap and reliable yet still awesome also. The Wolfsburg package makes it a lot nicer than a base model, without the price of a GLI! And of course black with dark interior! The car has 3 of the 4 BBS rims it originally came with. One cracked (of its own accord - NO accidents) and so there is a spare rim (not a donut spare, but not a BBS rim...). If I was going to do anything to this car I would get 4 new rims and tires, but if you needed to save up for that it drives fine as is.

Volkswagen Golf Wagon caught completely uncovered
Thu, 28 Feb 2013Without a lot of information to go with them, our camera-toting spies have captured some new images of a Volkswagen Golf wagon variant that is almost completely undisguised. In fact, the one piece of camouflage on the tidy wagon would probably have gone unnoticed to most casual viewers. Look closely at the rear three-quarter view of the car and you'll notice that the apparent taillight clusters are actually fakes - the outline of the real units is faintly visible behind the blue bodywork and the sticker-like fake taillights.
It's a good guess then, that this Golf wagon (called a Golf Kombi by our spy photographer) is a prototype that's pretty far along in the development cycle for Volkswagen. We can't be sure what impact this will have on the company's small wagon offering here in the US, but we'd be pretty surprised if something very like this didn't end up as the next Jetta SportWagen. We might well have more information on that front, after we visit Geneva next week.
Audi CVT suit settlement given green light, 64,000 cars covered
Mon, 07 Oct 2013Audi drivers, listen up. If you bought or leased a 2002-06 model-year A4 or A6 with a factory-installed Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) that failed, you may be entitled to reimbursement under a recently settled class-action lawsuit with corporate parent Volkswagen.
According to Automotive News, the settlement covers about 64,000 vehicles and alleges that "manufacturing and design problems caused the transmissions to fail and left owners stuck with repair costs." While the suit also argues Audi was aware of these issues (going so far as to hide that knowledge from consumers), the settlement stops short of acknowledging any wrongdoing by the German automaker.
Audi drivers are eligible for a cash reimbursement if their CVT repairs occurred within 10 years or 100,000 miles of the date they bought or leased the vehicle before June 19, 2013. To be eligible for compensation, drivers must submit a claim form (found here) with supporting documents by November 18.
