It is time to sell the old family car. This is a great running car that has had scheduled maintenance completed such as routine fluid and filter changes and timing belt. It is in good condition for its age and mileage. We have owned the car since December of 2004 and bought it with 30k miles on it. Since that time it has been a super reliable car and always gets 40-50 miles per gallon. It has always received oil changes with the VW 502 spec synthetic oil and it has had timing belts at 70k and 140k miles. It doesn't burn or leak any oil. The A/C and heater work well. It has a fresh oil change and fuel filter change. This car has always been an indoor car with a spot in the garage. I would not hesitate to hop in this car and take it anywhere.
The car has some options not listed above including power mirrors, rear defroster and wiper, a rear 12volt power point, rear headrests, latch system for child car seats, and fold down rear seats.
Now, the rest. This is a 10 year old car. It is in above average condition, but it has a few minor nicks and scratches in the paint. It has minor wear on the usual items on the interior. The front seats are not ripped or stained, but do have covers on them to perk up an older car. The tires are on the last 1/3rd of their life. The windshield has a small chip on the passenger side. It has been filled and has remained stable for several years.
I require a $500 deposit via paypal within 48 hours of auction end. The balance is due within 7 days via cash, bank wire transfer, or certified bank cashiers check.
I encourage you to call me at 707 599 2315 with any questions and to come see and drive the car if you are local.
If not local, I will work with your shipper, but the arrangements and cost are up to you.
After paid in full, I can provide free indoor storage for 7 days. After that it will be $20 per day to store.
If you have zero ebay feedback, call me before you bid.
Please only bid if you intend to buy.
Thank you for looking.

VW delivers first XL1 in Germany
Mon, Jun 9 2014Volkswagen has delivered the first XL1 diesel plug-in hybrid to a customer from Berlin, Germany. Dr. Christian Malorny received his Oryx White XL1 with black and grey interior from Volkswagen Germany's director of sales and marketing for passenger cars, Thomas Zahn, at the company's Transparent Factory in Dresden. The super-efficient XL1, which first debuted at the 2013 Geneva Motor Show, is powered by a 0.8-liter, two-cylinder TDI engine and electric motor, with electricity supplied by a 5.5-kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Power is delivered to the rear wheels via a seven-speed DSG transmission. With a curb weight of 1,753 pounds and a drag coefficient of just 0.189, the XL1 is rated at 261 miles per gallon on the lenient European cycle. It is capable of traveling solely on electric power for up to 31 miles. "The XL1 has inspired me from the beginning and I am very pleased to now be driving my own," said Malorny, (translated). "With its visionary design and high-tech appearance, Volkswagen has dared something new and innovative." The futuristic XL1 seats two passengers, and can carry 4.2 cubic feet of cargo. It features a carbon fiber reinforced plastic body, and a low center of gravity. It is diminutive of stature, as you can see in the photo, measuring 153.1 inches long, 65.6 inches wide, and just 45.4 inches tall. It is being billed as the world's most efficient production car, but it's unlikely Dr. Malorny will be making his money back on fuel savings any time soon; despite the first sale and the vehicles appearing on the German VW site, Volkswagen has not officially announced the price tag for the XL1. In the past, we've heard it will cost approximately $145,000. Only 250 are being produced. Check out our drive review of the Volkswagen XL1 here or read on for more information in the Google-translated press release, below. Volkswagen formally introduces super-efficient XL1
Mon, 04 Mar 2013Lightweight and low drag are hallmarks of great sportscar design. But when paired with a super-efficient, hybrid powertrain, you have the Volkswagen's XL1 that has been formally introduced in Geneva today.
When the 1,700-lb, carbon-fiber-bodied two-seater hits the road, its claimed 261 miles per gallon will make it the world's most-fuel-efficient production car. Though "production car" might be a stretch since VW said in a February press release that the XL1 would be built using "handcrafting-like production methods." We translate that to mean you won't be seeing many of these cars on the road. Though no one at VW has mentioned pricing yet, early rumors suggested a six-figure price tag.
That's supercar budget for a vehicle that has a 47-horsepower, two-cylinder diesel engine and a 27hp electric motor. With numbers like that, owners can expect 0-62 mph times of 12.7 seconds and top speed near 100 mph.
Editors' Choice: Top Five 2013 Geneva Motor Show Debuts
Fri, 08 Mar 2013We've returned from a very busy week in Switzerland, and in going back over all of our 75 stories from the Geneva Motor Show, our editors have gathered up their personal favorite debuts from the European expo.
The wonderful thing about the Geneva show is just how wide of an array of vehicles are on display - everything from funny little one-off EVs to the most exotic of supercars to, well, truly ridiculous displays of coachbuilding. And because of that, this list of our editors' favorites might not be as predictable as you think.
But we don't want to give anything away just yet. Scroll down to have a look at our team's favorites from Geneva.
