2001 Volkswagen Cabrio Convertible. It has a 2.0 Liter 1984CC 121 Cubic Inch, Naturally Aspirated, Single Overhead Cam.I bought this car last year for my daughter's birthday with the understanding that she would keep her grades up and stay out of trouble, but she decided that partying with her friends was more important than academics. So now someone else can enjoy it, its the perfect car for the college kid, great on gas, fun and sporty, and very affordable for a convertible. I always thought that convertibles didn't make much sense because you could only drive it for half the year here in Wisconsin, but I drove it several times this past winter and it was surprisingly excellent on the snowy, icy roads. And it stayed warm in there....I only mention this because I was under the impression that convertibles wouldn't hold their heat as well, but there was no drafts and no air pockets that I could find. I stored it in the garage every day and spent most of the winter tinkering on it.....I flushed all the fluids and did some break work and exhaust repair. The interior is immaculate! Black carpeting throughout the interior and seats look they were just installed.

Autoweek dubs GMC Canyon, VW GTI its 2015 'Best of the Best'

For the automotive industry, the last quarter of each year is reserved for awards, whether they come from Motor Trend, Car and Driver, Automobile, or yes, Autoblog. The latest to get released comes from our friends at Autoweek. The magazine has echoed other outlets, naming a Volkswagen hatchback and a small pickup from General Motors as its Best of the Best. Unlike Motor Trend, which handed out its golden calipers to the Chevrolet Colorado and Volkswagen Golf range, Autoweek doled out its awards to the Colorado's twin, the GMC Canyon, while singling out the hottest version of the Golf, the GTI. "This is the best hot-hatch on the American market – and it may be the best car you can buy for less than $30K," one AW staffer said in the publication's article on the feature. Other staffers praised the absolute value provided by the GTI and the overall fun factor. The Canyon, meanwhile, was saluted for being "the perfect size," not to mention its excellent build quality, feature-rich cabin and overall practicality. "It's truly a truck in the most honest sense of the word," Autoweek wrote of the Canyon. Volkswagen New Midsize Coupe Concept is an aspirational Jetta
Mon, 21 Apr 2014Meet the Volkswagen baby CC. Okay, that's not really it's name (VW calls it the New Midsize Coupe Concept), but this sleek, four-door coupe draws more than a little inspiration from the CC while riding on VW's MQB platform.
It's a looker, we think, and is an eye-pleasing departure from the bland styling of the current Jetta. The sleeker front end is complemented by a wider body overall (it's wider than a Passat), while the more sporting roofline and the sharp rear fascia gives the New Midsize Coupe a decidedly sporting character. LED head- and taillights add a bit more personality to this already stylish design.
Thanks to its 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder, it should get along rather sportingly, as well. The run to 62 miles per hour takes just 6.5 seconds thanks to the 217 horsepower on offer. A seven-speed dual-clutch automatic is also fitted, and contributes to an estimated 37 miles per gallon.
