I have a 1975 VW BUS / TRANSPORTER 2 that is a project but everything is there just needs tlc. I had all intentions of redoing this bus but I have bought a house and I need to focus on that. It has a lot of surface rust an some normal rust holes for these buses under the front windshield.

Engine:

From the research I've done it is a 1800CC motor that needs some tlc. It was running when I got it but needed motor mounts and now after sitting for a year its not starting. could be a fuel issue or it could need points or something. I don't know and don't have time to mess with it.

Exterior:

Rust holes under front windshield and door foot steps. Surface rust on the top and sides in areas. pretty straight body though for most part.

Has a hole in front windshield but all other glass is good and in working order. has brand new tires.

Interior:

headliner needs replacing,front seats need reupholstered, has ac and heat but not working,is an automatic which is rare,back seats are good has folding rear seat and sink looking thing. dash is good. floor board has some rust holes.

Frame:

frame is straight and has slight surface rust nothing major.

Volkswagen NMC production guise caught in China

Chinese car site Autohome has what are said to be the first pictures of the Volkswagen New Midsize Coupe concept in production form. VW's NMC was just introduced at the Beijing Motor Show, while background chatter indicated it would go on sale in China, Autohome says that production version will be built at the Shanghai-Volkswagen plant in Ningbo, and the retail guise could be introduced at the Guangzhou Motor Show in November and go on sale that same month.
Assuming this is the production car, its main lines have made the jump from the concept but with less fine detailing, a silver hue and with conventional VW wheels it's lost a little bit of oomph. Still, a few checkmarks on the option sheet can fix most of that, the shape remains handsome and the 2.0-liter turbo underhood keeps performance peppy and mileage frugal enough. U.S. opens probe into whether VW vehicles infringe Jaguar Land Rover patents

WASHINGTON — The U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) said on Monday it is opening in investigation into whether Volkswagen AG infringed on patents held by Jaguar Land Rover for a system used for off-road driving. In November, Jaguar Land Rover, a unit of Tata Motors, filed a complaint with the ITC seeking to prevent the import of some VW Porsche, Lamborghini and Audi models with "certain vehicle control systems" that allegedly infringe on it patents held for its Terrain Response system. The models include the Lamborghini Urus, Porsche Cayenne and AudiÂ’s Q8, Q7, Q5, A6 Allroad, and E-Tron vehicles and the VW Tiguan. The ITC said it has made no decision on the merits. VW said in a statement it was examining the action and determining its next steps. "We will of course cooperate with investigating authorities. While we cannot comment on any details of the proceedings, we strongly believe that the claims have no merit and will robustly defend our position," VW said. Many automakers offer a suite of off-road powertrain controls, but JLR claims Volkswagen's tech is more than just similar.Â Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) said the vehicles "have used JLRÂ’s patented inventions without payment or permission" notably a patent for an "improved system for driving a vehicle on different driving surfaces, in particular off-road." JLR says its Terrain Response technology uses the patented technology to maximize performance on off-road driving surfaces, including grass, snow, mud, sand and rocks.
