1971 Vw Volkswagen Classic Bus Van Transporter on 2040-cars

This is a running reliable classic bus/van that is a good transportation bus that has a lot of potential to be a really nice looking classic bus. The engine is 1600 single port with the exhaust pipes that goes out the back as seen in photos. Engine runs nice and smooth. But this is really a project bus/van that needs some interior updating. Both the exterior and interior does need some work as you can see in the photos..The exterior needs a rear bumper which I have one but needs to be re-painted, and front door key lock driver side will only lock from the inside. Also the driver side window roll up needs a regulator. The engine has been replaced with a good reliable used one that runs nice and is a running dependable and reliable transportation bus. There is some small rust here and there but nothing major. Brakes are Okay. 4 speed transmission just fine as it shifts nicely and you could drive it on the freeway no problem. I am selling this bus because we need the money to get a car for our daughter. This bus would be great for someone who has extra time to do some updating which has a lot of potential to make a really nice jewel classic bus. Volkswagen Golf Wagon caught completely uncovered
Thu, 28 Feb 2013Without a lot of information to go with them, our camera-toting spies have captured some new images of a Volkswagen Golf wagon variant that is almost completely undisguised. In fact, the one piece of camouflage on the tidy wagon would probably have gone unnoticed to most casual viewers. Look closely at the rear three-quarter view of the car and you'll notice that the apparent taillight clusters are actually fakes - the outline of the real units is faintly visible behind the blue bodywork and the sticker-like fake taillights.
It's a good guess then, that this Golf wagon (called a Golf Kombi by our spy photographer) is a prototype that's pretty far along in the development cycle for Volkswagen. We can't be sure what impact this will have on the company's small wagon offering here in the US, but we'd be pretty surprised if something very like this didn't end up as the next Jetta SportWagen. We might well have more information on that front, after we visit Geneva next week.
Next VW GTI to get 10-speed dual-clutch gearbox
Wed, Nov 26 2014Following on Volkswagen's official announcement that it was working on a ten-speed, dual-clutch transmission, Auto Express has it on "good authority" that the new transmission will end up in the next GTI, GTD and Golf R. The brand's current seven-speed will be retained for lesser eight-generation Golfs. While the new gearbox won't be limited to just the higher-end Golf range, the new hatchback, expected in 2017, will be the first to get it, Auto Express reports. The new DSG is the same size as the Volkswagen Group's seven-speed dual-clutch, and will easily fit into VAG's MQB platform, so we should expect it to filter into the rest of the Group's vehicles, much like the seven-speed 'box has. The ten-speed is likely to see applications beyond even the small cars of the MQB platform. The gearbox can handle 405 pound-feet of torque, according to AE, making its application in larger offerings such as the gas-powered MLB cars and crossovers a likelihood. Beyond the new gearbox, Volkswagen is also toying with mild-hybrid tech for the standard Golf and better batteries for the e-Golf. As we said, expect the new Golf to arrive in European markets in 2017, with the current Euro-market Golf getting updated next year. As for the US, we wouldn't be surprised if VW followed the trail blazed by the Mark 7, with a North American arrival for the eight-gem Golf slated for a year or so after sales in Europe begin.
