UP FOR AUCTION IS MY 1969 VW BUS. THE ONLY REASON THIS BUS IS FOR SALE IS DUE TO MEDICAL ISSUES. THIS BUS HAS A OREGON TITLE IN HAND SHOWING BRANDED CALIFORNIA TITLE DUE TO AN ENGINE FIRE YEARS AGO. I FOUND HER OUT IN A FARMERS FIELD WITH BLACK CALIFORNIA PLATES IN KLAMATH FALLS OREGON ABOUT 6 YEARS AGO.
I HAD A "BRAND NEW" NOT REBUILT 1600 DUAL PORT MOTOR BUILT BY SCOTTY'S IN REDDING CALIF. I HAVE PUT ONLY ABOUT 1500 MILES ON THIS "NEW" MOTOR. TRANSMISSION JUST STARTED POPPING OUT OF FOURTH GEAR. I AM INCLUDING A REBUILT TRANSMISSION WITH THE THIS SALE (SEE PICS) THE INTERIOR HAS BEEN GONE THRU. I INSULATED THRU-OUT, NEW HEADLINER , NEW CURTAINS , NEW CARPET NEW PANELS, THRU-OUT. ALL SEATS AND CUSHIONS HAVE BEEN REUPHOLSTERED. INCLUDED WITH SALE IS A CUSTOM BED MATTRESS I HAD MADE. (SEE PICS) I HAD BOTH FRONT DRIVERS PANS REPAIRED DUE TO RUST. THE GUY DID A FAIR JOB & LOOKS OK. THE REST OF THE FLOOR SHOWS NO REPAIRS NEEDED. ALL WINDOWS EXCEPT DRIVER FRONT AND FRONT PASSENGER HAVE HAD NEW RUBBER. 4 NEW VANCO CONTINENTAL TIRES WITH NEW HUBCAPS AND BEAUTY RINGS. NEW BRAKES ALL AROUND. NOSE HAS BEEN REPAIRED SHOWS SOME BONDO UNDER BRA. (SEE PICS) BODY HAS HAD BONDO REPAIR WORK. THIS BUS WAS PAINTED WHITE BY A FRIEND WHO IS NOT A PRO PAINTER. SHOWS SOME RUNS AND VERY LITTLE PREP WORK. BOTH ROOF RACKS WILL BE INCLUDED WITH THIS SALE. THIS IS A FUN BUS TO DRIVE AND ALWAYS GETS A LOT OF LOOKS AROUND TOWN. THIS IS A 45 YEAR OLD BUS. Sunday Drive: Variety is the spice of life
Sun, Nov 12 2017If there's any one new vehicle the entire world is anxiously waiting for, it's the Jeep Wrangler. Yes, of course the iconic off-roader has a loyal following here in America, but you could plop a Wrangler pretty much anywhere on the globe and everybody will know what it is. Put simply, the redesigned 2018 Jeep Wrangler JL has big, muddy shoes to fill, and the readers of Autoblog are just as interested in the Wrangler's rebirth as anyone else. Moving along, we were fortunate enough last week to spend a bit of time in nearly every version of the venerable Volkswagen Golf all in one day. There isn't a Golf we don't like, but there's one, easily identifiable by its three-digit name, that stands above all the rest: GTI. We think it's the best Golf you can buy, even if there's an R-badged variant that slots above the GTI in VW hierarchy. Rounding out our recap are three vehicles that could hardly be more different. The 2019 GMC Sierra, which was seen wearing pretty light camouflage, is a truck. The Lamborghini Terzo Millennio – which isn't going to go on sale, ever, at any price – is a conceptual supercar. And the Honda CB1000R is a retro-themed naked standard motorcycle. Touring the Volkswagen Museum in Wolfsburg

Ran When Parked took a tour of the sprawling Volkswagen Museum in Wolfsburg, and while there's a spot of text about the different and unique vehicles on display in the rotating exhibits, it's largely the collection of pictures of odd, one-off VW-badged cars and vans that excites. If you're a fan of the weird and wild, this is a post you'll want to look at.
As RWP points out, this is the larger, but less busy, museum targeted purely at Volkswagen products. The smaller AutoStadt museum, meanwhile, covers a much broader swath, with products from other Volkswagen Group members.
