Here is your chance to own a true honest clean Original 1969 Vw Deluxe transporter . This Bus 100% unrestored completely Original !! It was purchased from and elderly gentleman in the dry desert area of Washington state . From the story I got with the bus is the previous owner, owned for many years he had gotten to the age where he could drive any longer and parked the bus in 2003 , I bought and it was in running and driving condition . But after things sit for any period of time , Its always best to go thru and check things out . Since the bus was in such amazing condition anyway . I decided to go thru the braking system , replacing wheel cyl.,master ,rubber lines and brakes shoes . I had the motor removed and new seals installed , with new clutch , exhaust , battery , new fuel lines . Basically what is would take to make a daily driver .
The motor is a 1600cc single port , which appears to have been rebuild or was a replacement motor at some point over the buses lifetime . The transmission had new fluids , and shifts smoothly as is should . All the electrical system works perfect . even the horn .
Body condition on this bus is amazing . NO Rust in rockers , inner wheel wells . the is a little bit under the battery but very minor . The only other traces of rust are some surface rust on the front floors . Driver side front floor has a couple little thin spots and a few pin holes , But still a very solid bus for its age .
The paint is amazing 100% Original Paint !! No accidents , No bodywork , No welding on the body at all ever ! Its all factory and for a 44 year old vehicle is truly awesome !!
The interior is also completely Original , With the exception of the front seats being redone in the original style upholstery . This Bus Comes with the new roof rack and Brand new 195/75/14 tires .
The Bus has character sporting its factory paint , yes it has a few rock chips, scratches , a little door ding or two . But it shines like the day it left the factory 44 years ago . The paint underneath this bus is even good . The underside is so dry and nice , Its almost unbelievable !!
I have to say it again , This is an all original unrestored bus .. And many will say its only Original Once .. and as classic cars are being restored everyday . Its much harder to find something in this condition ..

Volkswagen e-Co-Motion concept poised for delivery to Geneva
Sat, 02 Mar 2013With Nissan getting ready to launch the e-NV200, it appears Volkswagen is looking to go after the same zero-emission commercial vehicle market with the all-electric 2013 e-Co-Motion Concept. Debuting next week at the Geneva Motor Show, the e-Co-Motion Concept might be small in size, but VW says it has cargo and payload capacities that should be perfect for small businesses.
Measuring 179 inches long, 75 inches wide and 77 inches tall, the e-Co-Motion Concept has about the same footprint as the current Golf, and it has a cargo capacity of 162 cubic feet and a maximum payload of more than 1,700 pounds. There isn't too much information on the e-Co-Motion just yet - such as what electric components and platform are used - but the press release posted below states while the concept is shown as a cargo van, future body styles could include a passenger wagon or a refrigerated box van.
Help a couple drive their 1984 Vanagon around the world
Mon, 22 Apr 2013Meet Brad, Sheena and Nacho
Driving through China is a pricey proposition. The couple will need to pony up a staggering $19,514 just to cover the fees.
Brad and Sheena Van Orden are in the midst of a life-defining campaign to travel around the world, and they're doing it in a 1984 Volkswagen Vanagon custom built for the occasion. The past 15 months have seen the couple quit their jobs with Gore-Tex and drive from Arizona to the very southern tip of Argentina after spending a full two years saving and preparing for the trek. Now they're in southern Asia gearing up for the next leg of their journey.
NHTSA, IIHS, and 20 automakers to make auto braking standard by 2022
Thu, Mar 17 2016The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety and virtually every automaker in the US domestic market have announced a pact to make automatic emergency braking standard by 2022. Here's the full rundown of companies involved: BMW, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar Land Rover, Kia, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru, Tesla, Toyota, Volkswagen, and Volvo (not to mention the brands that fall under each automaker's respective umbrella). Like we reported yesterday, AEB will be as ubiquitous in the future as traction and stability control are today. But the thing to note here is that this is not a governmental mandate. It's truly an agreement between automakers and the government, a fact that NHTSA claims will lead to widespread adoption three years sooner than a formal rule. That fact in itself should prevent up to 28,000 crashes and 12,000 injuries. The agreement will come into effect in two waves. For the majority of vehicles on the road – those with gross vehicle weights below 8,500 pounds – AEB will need to be standard equipment by September 1, 2022. Vehicles between 8,501 and 10,000 pounds will have an extra three years to offer AEB. "It's an exciting time for vehicle safety. By proactively making emergency braking systems standard equipment on their vehicles, these 20 automakers will help prevent thousands of crashes and save lives," said Secretary of Transportation Anthony Foxx said in an official statement. "It's a win for safety and a win for consumers." Read on for the official press release from NHTSA. Automakers making the commitment are Audi, BMW, FCA US LLC, Ford, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Jaguar Land Rover, Kia, Maserati, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, Mitsubishi Motors, Nissan, Porsche, Subaru, Tesla Motors Inc., Toyota, Volkswagen and Volvo Car USA.
