Good Running and Driving 1974 VW Beetle. I am listing this for my friend Mike Solomicki, You will need to call him with any additional questions or for additional pictures. Ph#(570)337-7885. I will describe this car as I see it. Car is located in Pensacola Florida. Has been Garage kept. Has been repainted with good quality paint job with some minor overspray here and there. Car seems to be mostly Original with 25k Original miles, Interior is Black and is in Good to Great shape. There is a few minor issues like the driver side window handle needs a new knob, Radio and speakers work great but tape deck does not. Overall nice interior. Good headliner, rear pad, dash door panels carpet all in good shape in my opinion barring minor wear and tear. Buyer would need to inspect for there personal opinion Car starts right up. Sounds good, No exhaust leaks, no knocking or smoking, Very clean engine with minor signs of oil here and there but no obvious leaks, Car stops great. Steers straight and shifts perfect. Overall a great running and driving car. Minor Rusting behind bumpers, rims have been painted at some point, car is not perfect but would be considered in good to great shape. Car must be picked up or driven home. will not ship. Buyer must look at car before purchase is final and be satisfied with description and transaction. VW readying new VR6 with forced induction
Fri, 27 Sep 2013Volkswagen built a stonking, narrow-angle V6 in the 1980s and 1990s that was found in three different generations of the Golf (their performance iterations, obviously), three generations of the Passat, the New Beetle, the Corrado and the Touareg, among other VWs, a spate of Audis, Seats, a Skoda, and even the Porsche Cayenne. It was a sad day when it was announced that it'd be put out to pasture.
Rejoice, though, fans of the venerable VR6, because Volkswagen has a new, modern variant in the works that, according to AutoWeek, features direct injection and can easily be fitted with forced induction. In fact, AW mentions Volkswagen insiders that claim this unit will spawn a production version of the twin-turbo V6 shown on the Design Vision GTI from this year's Wörthersee festival. That unit produced an epic 503 horsepower and 413 pound-feet of torque.
Don't expect a production unit with that level of power (although it would make a hardy RS4 powerplant), though. In reality, AutoWeek is suspecting anywhere from 340 to 450 horsepower from the new mill. When it arrives at an undisclosed date in the future, it'll likely be found in the Passat and Passat CC as well as the production version of the CrossBlue.

Brad and Sheena Van Orden are in the midst of a life-defining campaign to travel around the world, and they're doing it in a 1984 Volkswagen Vanagon custom built for the occasion. The past 15 months have seen the couple quit their jobs with Gore-Tex and drive from Arizona to the very southern tip of Argentina after spending a full two years saving and preparing for the trek. Now they're in southern Asia gearing up for the next leg of their journey.
