Beautiful Red 1972 VW Super Beetle for sale. This car was purchased in 2008 has been restored and is in great condition. Professionally painted in 2009 as part of the restoration process, this garage kept Beetle has appeared in many car shows in the Clarksburg, Parkersburg WV area. It has the following - New Head Liner, Re-upholstered original seats, new carpeting, professionally restored steering wheel, floor pans are in great shape, the heaters and defroster are operational. Engine is 1600cc (most likely NOT the original) and the odometer reads approximately 136,000 miles. Runs great, looks great, ready to roll, nothing else needs to be done on this car. New VW Beetle Convertible ad needs no disguise
Mon, 18 Feb 2013Convertibles make you do funny things. Ask someone if they'd drive a hardtop in near freezing temperatures with all the windows down and they might not even answer, thinking the question so ridiculous. Give that same person a convertible they love and you might just have to ask them to please put the top up even when snow is on the ground.
That guy has to take precautions to enjoy his proclivities, and as this new ad for the Volkswagen Beetle Convertible shows, not everyone understands. Have a watch below, and note that there's just one woman in the minute-long spot, and she's nowhere near the car. Seriously, why didn't VW run this commercial during the Super Bowl?

Volkswagen Golf R 400 Concept is a 201-mph hot hatch
Sun, 20 Apr 2014This, friends, is what happens when you shoehorn 395 horsepower into a Golf. You get a three-door hatch that will happily scurry to 62 miles per hour in 3.9 seconds and on to a top speed of 201 mph. Oh yes, we like you, Golf R 400 Concept.
As we explained in our original post, the R 400 is the long-awaited successor to bonkers Golf creations like the GTI W12 from 2007 and, more recently, the Design Vision GTI. It's powered by the same 2.0-liter, turbocharged four-cylinder found in a number of Volkswagen (and Audi, SEAT and Skoda) products, although it's been heavily massaged to pump out 332 pound-feet of torque along side its amplified horsepower.
Naturally, it's been lowered and now rides on 19-inch wheels. Outside of those changes, though, mums the word on suspension and chassis enhancements. While this is a bummer, the striking looks of the Golf R 400 more than make up for it.
