Alright here is another lil shop ride.

This one is a 1968 vw bug, beetle or whatever you wanna The only reason im selling it is because the wife needs a car so i can have my truck back.  First of all this car had been sitting since 1995 under a tree before i got it. Since i got it i did a few things to it and had been driving it as my daily driver, and might i add that it great on gas and turns head everywhere. Ok the motor and tranny is in really good shape, the only thing i needed to do to it to get it to run at first was change the oil, put a new battery, clean out the gas tank , put some new gas prime the carb turn the ignition and she started right up. Soon after i got her running i started on the body with the great help of a friend (which his dad owns a body shop). Well we did the body work and squarted it vanillia and black cherry fenders with a hint of gold pearl. All the seals were replaced with the exception of the driver and passenger window seals and window  wiskers. i have the bumpers for it but the are not in good shape they are a lil faded and not cool looking. . i Have the chrome trim i just need to put it and will do so before i goes ( thats if it does sell) . THe tires are new and in good shape, and what it seems like they are whitewalls but really are not, they are poor boys white walls (portawalls) alot cheaper and easier on the ol pockets. The interior is in good shape but can use a lil work, but the seats are redone and the carpet is new as well . The brakes have been gone through as well and work great. The front i put adjusters and narrowed the front end two inchs on both sides along with 2 inch drop spindles and new shocks. The rear i just cut the swing arms and moved up the splines and slammed her down, it doesnt ride the greatest but looks cool has hell . I for one rather look cool then have a comfortable ride, but the ride can be easly fixed but the turning up of the adjusters in the front and moving the splines in the rear, but you will loose some drop. I dont know what else to say, if you have any questions please email me and i will responed asap. thanx

Watch the VW E-Golf get made

Fri, Jun 13 2014

If you've ever been on a tour of an automotive factory, you know how mesmerizing it can be to see humans and robots work together to build our four-wheeled friends. The swift automation, the cleanliness, the trained hands deftly fitting pieces together and watchful eyes inspecting every piece of the car, it's all quite impressive, especially if the vehicle is one you, as an observer, are fond of. Even just seeing a fresh, gleaming badge being applied to immaculately painted sheet metal is enough to curl ones toes. Such is the case with this video from of the E-Golf being pieced together in the Volkswagen's Wolfsburg plant. There's no narration or music - just the sounds of production - so it's easy to follow the singular motions that go into the process without distraction, with a slight sense of actually being on the floor. This solo video is only seven minutes long, so it's not quite the epic that was the BMW i3 production series. Therefore, we miss a lot of the initial build, such as pressing the sheet metal, painting, and putting together a lot of the inner workings. What is refreshing to see is how much of the final touches of the electric Golf are done by hand using actual hand tools (and with typical German efficiency). There's even a person riding a bicycle through the factory at one point, which is common at Wolfsburg and also rather quaint. Enjoy the video below, and if you have a suggestion for a good soundtrack to go along with it, sound off in the comments. This content is hosted by a third party. Honda, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Mercedes also under diesel emissions scrutiny

Sat, Oct 10 2015

The controversy over Volkswagen's diesel emissions scandal isn't limited to the US. In Europe, where diesel engines are far more popular, the issue is shining a harsh light on the NEDC emissions test. As already known, the evaluation does a poor job of reflecting real-world production of NOx, and it appears a significant number of automakers are affected. The Guardian in the UK has been reporting on real-world test results from a company called Emissions Analytics. After the latest round of checks, vehicles from Mercedes-Benz, Honda, Mazda and Mitsubishi were found to generate far more NOx than they should. The newspaper also published similar results for Renault, Nissan, Hyundai, Fiat, Volvo, Jeep, Citroen, VW, and Audi. On average, the figures are about four times over the limit of producing the pollutant. Unlike VW and its defeat device, these automakers aren't actually breaking the rules. The vehicles perform up to the NEDC lab test for emissions, but those results simply aren't translated to the street. "The VW issue in the US was purely the trigger which threw light on a slightly different problem in the EU - widespread legal over-emissions," Nick Molden from Emissions Analytics said to The Guardian. A big fight to decide the future of this issue appears to be on the horizon. Automakers claim that they can't meet the next round of tightening emissions regulations and are asking for compromises. Although, spokespeople for Mercedes and Honda told The Guardian that the brands would be in favor of the stricter rules. Meanwhile, some European governments began backtracking their support of diesels well before this scandal came to light. The added scrutiny certain hasn't helped the future of the oil-burner. Volkswagen Group previews its wares on eve of Geneva show

Mon, 05 Mar 2012

The Volkswagen Group is comprised of 11 brands producing 240 vehicles across 49 factories throughout the world. So the best way to show off the range of the VW family is to cram a few thousand journalists and VIPs into a massive makeshift stand to outline the Group's goals, what's in the pipeline and what you'll be able to buy later this year.
To that end, VW pulled out all the stops on the eve of the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, bringing along 10 vehicles from across the range. We'll be delving into the details of each over the next two days of show coverage, but before that happens, you can read all about what we saw tonight from the cheap seats after the break.
