A nice example of a 1966 Beetle, and an Older restoration with a few flaws, scratches in paint on left front fender, rust bubbling on right side in front of rear fender, handbrake lever needs ratchet mechanism fixed, windscreen wipers need repaired.
It has the 1300cc engine fitted with performs well at highway speed. The white wall tires are almost new and the color matched rims look awesome. The interior looks as new and and everything appears to work apart from above. There is some minor bubbling to the paintwork, and a few light scratches to the left front fender but it is still very presentable and would make an excellent daily driver. This vehicle will be sold on a Bill of sale as this is all that is required in Georgia for a vehicle of this age but we do have a copy of the last registration which is usually enough to register it in most states but Please check with your local DMV before bidding. Wed, Feb 25 2015Translogic checks out EV West, one of the world leaders in electric vehicle conversions. Host Jonathon Buckley interviews EV West owner Michael Bream and test drives a converted 1969 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia. What drives EV West to electrify classic cars may surprise some. "We're not doing this because we're the hardcore environmentalists or we're trying to save the earth," says Bream. "If we can't at least double your horsepower and torque, we won't touch the car." In fact, EV West brings a race-tested performance pedigree to back up those boasts. The company competed in the electric class at Pikes Peak, has run through the desert at Baja, and in general has successfully proved that battery-electric vehicles can compete at a high level.
