A very original, unmolested rust-free Spitfire with 37,923 actual miles. All body panels are original with no patching. Some touch-up was done in the past due to sun-fading, chips, ect.- very presentable, with original body striping. The motor & mechanicals work great, with no rebuilds; no smoke. Interior is very good. The top is new, as is radiator and fuel pump. The oxygen pump is present but was disconnected years ago. The underbody is fairly clean and has not been touched-up. Nice tire tread. The right front trim ring needs replaced. I have known about and watched this car since 1994. The owner seldom drove it yet wouldn't sell. Around the year 2000 I told a friend to go look at it and a deal was finally made. My friend has owned it since but rarely drove it (last licensed in 2005). Due to health problems he has asked me to sell it. |

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack
Sun, 21 Sep 2014Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
