For sale is my 1980 Triumph Spitfire. It is equipped with factory luggage rack (not installed, but will be) Over Drive, Hard top, tonneau cover and top boot. I also have hard top storage rack with cover, books, manuals  and some spare parts all included with this sale.

The car has gone under extensive work new paint looks good, suspension rebuilt and also the brakes with new hoses, brake lines and master cylinder and reseal kits used on other components. The clutch hydraulics also rebuilt and new slave cylinder. All hydraulics have silicone brake fluid installed. The engine has been disassembled cleaned cylinders honed and new rings, bearings, rod bolts, timing chain kit, oil pump, cam and lifters (stock) valve job and all new gaskets. Installed engine with new water pump, hoses, thermostat, new radiator, new alternator, distributor, wires , fuel pump and so on.

Also the transmission was flushed out, overdrive seals changed, new speedo drive, cable and screens serviced (clean no metal found) new rubber mounts used eng. and trans also new clutch kit installed.

The interior is nice mostly original with new floor mats and seat kits. The original soft top is installed and in good usable condition.

The body and frame are very solid.

It sports new minilite type wheels and new tires. Much more done that I have not listed, but this should be a turn key car and should be reliable with over $5000 in parts used alone. There is one minor problem the front seal drips some but these cars seem to leak some oil anyways. Payment to be received within 5 days after auction end. Feel free to ask questions

I'm selling do to family life and this car does not fit my life right now. I have more than my staring price in it so my loss is our gain!

This is one hell of a nice car now.

This car is for sale locally too and may be sold at any time.

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack

Sun, 21 Sep 2014

Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
