This is a project 1974 Spitfire with all the hard very expensive work already done.  It was intended to be a full frame-off restoration but life happened.  Prior to dismantling the car for the intended restoration the car's engine, transmission, rear end, clutch and brake systems had been rebuilt. The car was in excellent running condition and had no leaks of of any kind.  It had no rust issues and had never been in a collision.  There are receipts for all work done to the main mechanical systems as well, totaling over $2000 in parts alone. This car is very well documented with a large folder of info on its mechanical restoration history and condition.  Its current state is in parts, fully detailed in the Flickr account.  There are also receipts for all work done to date and for the new parts were bought in anticipation of the body restoration.  These also come with the car.  These include an all-new electrical loom and many other new parts just waiting to make this car back into the beauty that it was.  This car is not currently in running condition and the chassis is not attached to the frame.  The car has spent it's entire time in a heated dry garage. The winning bidder will need to bring a flatbed tow vehicle to remove it. Clear title in possession.

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack

Sun, 21 Sep 2014

Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
