1973 - Triumph Spitfire on 2040-cars
Fairfield, Connecticut, United States
Up for sale is a 1973 triumph spitfire. This car is in unbelievable condition for its age. The entire car was rebuilt from the ground up with over 10,000 in receipts. The odometer is not working right now, not sure how long it has been broken as it was like that when I got it a few months ago. It was painted but is not perfect, there are minor dings and dents on the trunk and hood; also the door as you can see needs paint. It is not bondo just sanded down to the original paint from the door over extending. Brand new interior with upgraded wood dash 1000 alone. Has a new soft top as well as a hard top. Full drive Train was rebuilt and drives perfect. Runs great and shifts through all 4 gears perfect; probably 3000 miles since rebuild. All suspension is new, new wheels/ tires, and brakes. Also has a brand new upgraded stereo. Great driver for someone I just don't have the space for another car.

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack
Sun, 21 Sep 2014Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
