Looking to get yourself into a Cool and Purely Authentic Right Hand Drive British Roadster - Impress your friends, turns heads on the road and confuse the folks in back of you... VERY RARE - Right Hand Drive 1972 Triumph Spitfire Mark IV. This is my weekend car - starts right up, runs, drives, stops - Horn, Lights, Wipers and all Gauges works - Clean Tittle, registered and insured in CA-USA, till April 2015. This car was partially restored by previous owner and was privately imported from Leeds UK comes with 2x original UK's metal License Plates (included). It has 4 cylinder 1296cc High Compression Engine with dual HS2-SU Carbs. was rebuilt in the UK with many upgraded parts (some 16,4xx miles ago). All new Hoses/Clamps, new Stainless Heater's Water Pipe, new aftermarket Oil Injector, new Fuel Pump, Fuel Filters (front and rear), and a brand new & correct Delco Distributor (a Very Rare and Very hard to find item). The 4 Speed Tranny also had new Clutch installed along with 5 new Tires, at the time engine rebuilt (included the spare) Original matching hard top installed and included. Black soft top is in good shape and tucked in the space behind the seats and can be reinstalled with the same 4 bolts that holds the hardtop (the Hardtop's headliner may need redone if you like it on the car all the time). Since I bought this car in 2012: I've Complete rebuilt the Rear Suspension's Leaf Spring & Links with all new Poly Bushings and new KYB Gas Shocks. Also rebuilt Rear Brakes with new Pads, Cylinders, Springs, Speed Bleeders and Stainless Racing Brake Lines. Complete rebuilt Rear Axle Shafts with all new U-joints and a brand new light weigh Drive Shaft with new U-Joints, and was professionally installed by local Drivelines Service Shop. New leather GT's Steering Wheel with red stiches, new Visors, new black Seat Covers and brand new Stainless Exhaust pipe from front to back and Stainless Muffler with dual Chrome Tips installed - Sounds incredible !! (Car has speakers & wiring installed behind seats, but no CD/Radio - my music is the sounds of the Exhaust Pipes)... Car comes complete with original Owner's Manuals, Spare Tire, Jack and Lug Wrench. Note: Small dent in rear near Tail Light and paint has many faded spots and chips here and there - see pictures. Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack
Sun, 21 Sep 2014Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
