Triumph Spitifre Extremely Original, Overdrive , Hard Top on 2040-cars
Rockland, Massachusetts, United States
Here is my personal Spitfire, I've owned this car for over 10 years now and it has always been garaged. The car was a California car before I purchased it and it shows. The body is 100% rust free it still wears it's original paint and decals. You'll notice all of the factory stickers and striping which you see a lot of restored cars replaced but never see them original. The body is very straight but does show dings chips and various scratches as you would expect from a car of its age. The drive train was rebuilt about 3,000 miles ago and runs very nicely. The radiator has been replaced and fuel tank as well. Rear leaf and new shocks were done, also rear pinion seal and brakes overhauled. The car is tight and reliable. The overdrive is a great option for highway driving and it works flawlessly, the car just hums at 70. The top is in great shape as long with the interior also included is a NOS tonneau cover it had never been on the car and is even dart stamped from 1979. This is a great usable car that will only increase in value. You just won't find another original car like this that has every option. The only issues I find with the car is the speedo is not working and over long periods there is a slow oil drip ( less then most british cars)

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack
Sun, 21 Sep 2014Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
