Up for auction is a 1976 Triumph Spitfire in what I would call a" very, very nice driver " condition. The car has had much work and many dollars spent on her and has the highly sought after and rare over-drive transmission. The car has had much work done, looks fabulous so please take time to view all the photos and read the entire auction.

Mechanicals: The car runs and drivers out very nicely with no know issues and starts right up with just a touch of the key and has great engine / throttle response. The car starts right up with no smoke, noises, ticks or shaking about. The car holds very good oil pressure and does not over heat. The engine is very tight with no fluid leaks or drips under the car that I have seen. The transmission shift very well and the over-drive works perfectly in both 3rd and 4th gear. The car will reverse up an incline with no issues and does not pop out of gear. The clutch peddle is strong as are the brakes ( emergency brake works great as well ). I would not hesitate to drive this car any distance at this time. The car was just serviced with new points, plugs, ignition wires,  oil change, air filter replaced, upper and lower radiator hoses replaced and the coolant fluid changed. As well the rear muffler and tail pipe where replaced this week ( purrs like a kitten ). The engine was rebuilt approximately 1800 miles ago and at that time the clutch, pressure plate, release bearing and distributor where replaced .

Electrical's: This area looks very solid with no Lucas "gremlins" here. The head lights work ( high beam and low beam ), wipers work, blower fan works, brake lights work, front and rear directional lights work, front and rear running lights work, front and rear side marker lights work, dash gauge lights work, dash light dimmer switch works, license plate lights work, reverse lights work and the radio works.

Interior: The interior is in "like new" condition as seen in the photos. The carpet, seats, door panels, rear cockpit area, center console, arm rest, emergency brake boot lever cover and kiddney panels where all redone last year. Yes, she does have seat belts.

Exterior:  The exterior is in what I call higher end driver quality. The car had a complete re-spray last year and looks outstanding!!  The panel fit and gap fit on the doors, hood and trunk are outstanding ( see photos ). The car is laser straight down on all body panels and wheel arches.  All glass is original "Triplex" and they are clear and cloud free. The soft top while not new it does look like new. The wheels are just stunning! The wheels just been repainted and new "Triumph" logo center mandolins installed as well as new Chrome wheel trim rings.

Trunk: IS very solid .

Overseas Bidders: Yes the auction is open to overseas bidders. The auction is open to overseas bidders and if you need to ship overseas try  Schumacher Cargo Logistics shipping for fast free quotes (  http://www.schumachercargo.com/  ).  Please have funds available at auctions end.

Shipping:   If you need to have the car shipped to your location here in the states you can get a fast and free online quote from Able Auto Transport at:  http://www.ableautotransport.com/

I know how hard it is to purchase a car online so please ask any and all questions you have prior to bidding or if you can come see and drive the car for yourself ( I really encourage you to do so ) as I want the winning bidder to be satisfied with the car when it arrives. Due to the cars age and having no way to warranty the car I'm selling her as is. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of auctions end ( no exceptions ).

Jaguar F Type V6 S vs Triumph Street Triple R in open-air track attack

Sun, 21 Sep 2014

Typically, these track battle videos pair up car against car or, in more disparate circumstances, car versus crossover, as we saw the other day. While the outcome of that battle was quite predictable, what'll happen when an equally fetching (and fast) four-wheeler is put up against one of the icons of the two-wheeled world? Evo just had to find out.
Matching up a Jaguar F-Type V6 S Convertible against a Triumph Street Triple R is at least more of an even fight than the last battle between the Porsche Cayman GTS and Macan Turbo. The Triumph has a 675-cc engine to work with, and is very light. Meanwhile, the Jag has a thumping 380-horsepower, 3.0-liter, supercharged V6 to haul about it's considerably heftier heft. Who will come out on top?
You'll need to watch the full video to find out.
