Ground Up Restoration. Many New Parts With All The Receipts To Prove It on 2040-cars

I purchased this Spitfire 18 months ago and I was led to believe that it was 90% complete. Once I started taking things apart, it was evident that this vehicle was not in a safe condition to drive. I ended up completely dismantling the car and removed the body with the goal of rebuilding it. I had many of the chassis components powder coated and much of the suspension, brakes, steering replaced with all new components. I have the invoices to prove it. The body is in great shape with no rust whatsoever. There is some corrosion in the area of the clutch and brake reservoirs which will need repairing. I have not touched that area but it is evident that a previous owner had attempted some repair. There is a small dent in the drivers door that can be easily pulled out. The engine did run when I first purchased the car, but I have not run it since. What needs to be done? The input differential seal leaked and was replaced. Unfortunately it still seeps so needs doing again. The body needs painting although the white is in pretty good shape. The wiring harness installed and all the electrical hook ups completed. The interior needs installing to include the dash. The seats are poor and could do with upholstering. Parts missing: Rear bumper, front windshield, both door windows, carpeting. There may be other items but all are readily available at Victoria British, Moss etc I had every intention of finishing the project, but because of my work schedule and starting a new business, I will never get back to it. The hard part is over.......someone else should finish it up!
